  1. Hello all, I have returned to the Lexus world after a 7 year absence. I have got myself a 2004 IS200 SE in Antimony colour with 83000 miles on the clock with FSH. It has been really looked after and I can only guess its a members (ex member maybe?) car, or i'm really lucky and the previous owner really loved it. Since my last IS200 iv had a few cars (in order after selling lexus) : 1999 Nissan Skyline R34 GTT - 280bhp 2012 Hyundai Veloster - 138bhp 2008 Ford Focus ST, facelift model, in asbo orange - 225bhp 1999 Chevrolet Corvette C5 - still own/driving - 405bhp My reason for the jump back into the IS200 is basically my new job. The road to get to work is so badly paved and tight back-road laden that the big american, mostly plastic and fibreglass, little to no suspension, left hand drive V8 is just getting pounded to expensive destruction. I loved my last IS200 so when I decided I needed a new "daily" car within a limited £2k budget (don't let the corvette fool you, i'm broke a s***) I went straight to IS200's on Ebay/auto trader.. etc The Corvette was my dream car since I was a child. I had the opportunity 2 years ago to get one within my budget and I took it. Im sure if you had the chance to own your dream car you would have done the same, regardless of its practicality. I was using my corvette daily, yes daily, 6 times a week, and Its not as bad as you think. £230 road tax on its 5.7ltr V8. I average 27mpg to and from work at 60mph and its costing me £310 to insure. Im only 30 :) plus it gets to 60mph in 1st gear in 4 seconds, and at the same time the fuel gauge gets from full to empty haha. I do however need to sell the Vette this year as I cant afford 2 cars. Me and the fiancé are suppose to be saving for a house and on my mediocre wage I cant run 2 cars and save at the same time. She is in the same boat. While it is a massive step down in power and performance, I didnt get the lexus for that reason. Im kicking about West sussex, located in Southwater/Horsham, soon to be working in East Grinsted. So if you see a Black corvette or the Lexus give me a wave :) I hope for many years of trouble free motoring, for me and yourselves. Scott
  2. Happy Birthday bristows_lad!

  3. hello I havnt been on here for a long time! just thought id let you know i have a new car. After 3 years of owning my IS200 i felt a change was needed. here is my new beast :) Nissan Skyline R34 GTT 5 speed Manual (hard to find) 2.5 single turbo, 300bhp, RWD = awesome
  4. had mine for 2 years now. only thing thats gone wrong is me nudging a high curb and cracking my front splitter. flew through its last 2 MOT's. changed the alloys soon after getting it. uprated the brake disks to drilled and grooved as well as Tein coilovers in september and exedy clutch at the beginning of the year. thats all iv done in 2 years. got it at 88k now on around 104k. been driven from aberdeen to west sussex (10 hour drive in one go.. dont recommend it lol) and back again twice (2400 miles roughly) and i dont exactly take it easy. work mate of mine got a new polo 1.4 tdi, owned it for a month now and hes only driven it 78 miles coz its broken so many times. this is a brand new car aswell. its still at the place he got it from trying to fix an electrical problem. luck of the draw i guess. sometimes ull get an awesome car. other times ull be fixing it 24/7. could always get a moped? lol
