  1. Sorry mate but as a Traffic Officer he was right to give you a ticket, he could of just given you a warning and let you go but we are getting more and more call to hand out fines because of the nature as it can blind people and cause accidents. From the Highway Code: 226 You MUST use headlights when visibility is seriously reduced, generally when you cannot see for more than 100 metres (328 feet). You may also use front or rear fog lights but you MUST switch them off when visibility improves (see Rule 236). [Law RVLR regs 25 & 27] 236 You MUST NOT use front or rear fog lights unless visibility is seriously reduced (see Rule 226) as they dazzle other road users and can obscure your brake lights. You MUST switch them off when visibility improves.
  2. Odd question, if you have a 'S' can you add/buy the amp in and just plug it in or are the wires not installed?
  3. This seem to be the same problem I had and spoke to Lexus and they informed me that its the receiver within the car that must of gone faulty and will cost around £400 for the part and then labour after there pricin never took it in to be confirmed) Ever since ive been locking the car with the key and having to manually unlocking/locking the passenger side door etc. Did you use the really long list of opening door, closing, door press key etc??
  4. I prefer the one on the right! but maybe im just different!!!!!!
  5. Just poped into the local Tesco Express after work - only to get driven into by a lady reserving a four by four out of a parking space and not looking!! Now my Lexus is sporting a nice new dent in the rear passenger side (between fuel cap and rear light) cracked light cluster and scratching on back bumper and side panel! Lucky got a witness who saw everything and hopefully everything should be ok and it wont cost me a penny!
  6. Mine, has started doing this recently - I find it only does it every now and then and it will alway start up on the second attempt. Car has just been serviced and never been steamed clean, so I guess its just a common problem.

  10. To all you motor fans, With the new British Touring Car season around the corner, im glad to see that BTC Racing are continuing to stick with the Lexus Is200 for another season and will be fielding two cars being driven by Chris Stockton & Stuart Oliver. The racing start at Brands Hatch on 30th March 2008 and will be covered live on ITV4 (12:30pm-5:30pm) and highlights on Men & Motors. Good Luck to the team and hopefully they will continue to improve and continue to push for some more points this season! Last Years Car:
  11. Due to get the car in the garage this weekend so ill let you know what they find!
  12. Booked my place for June and looking at possibly going in May aswell - pity im not there when you lot are there again. If anyones still looking for hotel etc let me know as we always use a guesthouse which is around 2 mins from the track. Cost us around £250 for 12 days (Food and Drink included in that price) Have a good trip and might see some more of you later in the year.
  13. Ive got an IS200 Navigator and when I brought the car I didn’t realise that they were a CD type Sat Nav upto 2001 and then it was replaced with the DVD version. Is it as simple as replacing the CD drive in the back for the DVD type and replacing the disc to DVD version? (I’m sure this has been asked before but I could not find any on search!!)
