  1. If you had a head gasket problem you would see brown/white mayonaise type stuff on your oil filler cap and maybe on your rad cap. hi mate, yeah ino loads of people are asking me about mayo, but no problems with that. thank god! i probably just worry too much, but i would rather prevent it rather than letting it get worse. however i did look at my header tank today and it had gone back up very slightly, so i was like... what the hell?? maybe it just fluctuates? but surely it should stay at the full mark and not half empty? Your best bet is to park on a flat spot at nite and just get a felt tip pen and mark on the expansion tank where the level is ( when cold )and check it before you start the car up the following day just to give you and idea how much coolant loss is happening.... I would be very surprised if its your headgasket gone as there would be more signs ( like the mayo ) get a small mirror from your mum/girlfriend/wife etc and just hold it under your water pump and see if there is any signs of leaks there... p.s dont forget...your expansion tank level WIll go up and down when the car is hot or cold.....

  3. A 45bhp increase...mmm i doubt it to be honest from a resistor..
  4. If it was leaking anywhere you would still see the pink/white residue from where the coolant has leaked...unless its internal ..?
  5. Glad to hear its not a headgasket problem matey...The IS200 has long life coolant and is red and if there was a leak in the system you would see where the coolant has leaked because it will leave a dry pink residue by,on or near the leak.... Also if the gasket had gone im guessing you would of had mayonaise type stuff on the engine filler cap and the rad cap...... :)
  6. Ive had Pirelli Pzero Rosso`s on my IS200 ( 225/40/18 ) must say they where very quiet and where very good in the dry and ok in the wet....BUT the down side was is that they wear very quickly....
  7. I think you will get more than £100 for them.? are these better than Mintex discs and pads or the same..?

  11. Hi ian welcome to LOC...
  12. I love the look of the LF-A really is stunning...like most peeps have said if they buy one of these then they tend to have "To much money" and will have another 2-3 supercar`s... :D B)
  13. Maybe you had a stone trapped or in bedded in your pad/brakes...?
  14. Personally i use Collinite 476`s paste wax excellent wax and lasts a very long time on the car ( very good for winter use ) or P21`s (think its called P22`s now ) again very good but does not last as long on the car as collinite...
  15. Thats horrendous..! just looking at my perfect WIM settings on my car and yours....well yours are WAY out.imho...
  16. I had those on my lex...5000kelvin ones very good kit.
  17. The noise you are all getting from the front brakes is more than likely the spring retaining clips that hold the pads in the calliper housing are just very loose.(also happens when the pads surface get less )..all you need to do is take the pads out and the small metal retaining clips just need pulling out slightly and re adjusting so it holds the pads more firmly in the calliper....should take you about 10-20 mins each sides..
  18. Did they replace the hardened rubber top mount on the front suspension.? might be that..dont think they are that expensive
  19. The noise you are describeing sounds like the pads moving in your calliper housing..( its the retaining springs clips ) the best way to stop it is by taking the pads out and pulling the retaining spring clips out slightly so that it makes the pads fit tighter in the housing.. then you re-fit them, it only happens because the pads get lower and the spring clips get looser....
  20. I would say some little herbert is pulling your todger... :tsktsk: :P why cant people leave other peoples things alone.!
  21. Is this when you release the clutch pedal after changing gear..? or just when you change gear`s
  22. Keep us updated.. :) I guess because the disc`s are floating disc`s that the surface has to be completly rust free and smooth when you put the wheel back on as thats the only way the disc`s are held flat ( apart from being held by the calliper itself )
  23. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY TRUDI. :D sorry i missed it.
