  3. a short circuit from somewhere, exactly where mine went.just ring round the breakers or best bet on ebay, some will try and rip you off but you can get them for about £25-35 if you get any more problems just send me a pm,ill be happy to help
  4. dont worry about it happens all the time with me
  5. i did mine earlier today, but not quite sure what your asking?
  6. i thinking that after looking at it earlier there is loads of room to work in as the rack is right at the bottom, 1 bush i can get at the other will need the rack to be loosened off
  7. does anyone know if the steering rack needs to be removed to change the bushes or can you just replace them with it in situ
  8. the theft control unit controls all these functions, get it out open it up and trace all the connections on the board.i bet 1 tiny part has blew, which if it has try and get hold of 1 from a scrapped one and refit. even if this is removed the relay will still buzz away as there is a short on this board,it makes the whole circuit work
  9. sounds like the anti theft unit has blew(this controls the lights/central locking)
  10. check both side fuse boxes and all connectors (including all pins),seriously i had the same problem twice and after 3 days of checking every single pin on every connector the second time i found 2 plugs on the drivers side fuse board completely corroded and had to get a part wireing loom for that connector, and on the passenger side i found 3 pins that were going the same way but managed to clean them up with a small file and electrical cleaner. also check to see if your theft ecu is ok and hasnt burnt out on the board.it is located underneath the knee guard just behind the ignition ring any probs just pm me and ill try to help you out all i can
  11. ive got the jvc kw-avx 820 and cant rate it highly enough, and at the price the 830 is now its a bargain
  12. tint-r in nottingham are an excellent place i got mine done there for £150
  13. mine had this the other day and i thought it was my new coilovers so took them apart and found out that it was the upper wishbone that was squeeking,so a little wd40 and teflon spray where it bolts on and no more noise, try there first :)
  14. Have you got exact details on how to access the acu?? yeah if you undo the 3 screws that hold the knee guard and look up on its just behind the rear fog switch and light washer button, theres 2 control units under there its the one to the left if i remember correctly
  15. cant go wrong with JL stuff if you want quality :winky: also try the mb quart and hifonics gear, also your better of going for a 0agu wiring kit just incase you decide to upgrade your system later on
  16. yup, just dont forget some orange bulbs :D
  17. yeah,i took mine apart today and sprayed the interior bit black, heres some pics before spraying fitted heres the guide i used clicky
  18. if your still having problems try replacing your theft control unit (behind the dash) which controls the lights/alarm etc it can short out, i replaced mine and fixed the problem and a few other members have also
  19. Just managed to pop out of work to pick my car up after having it's clutch changed, and noticed that the gear stick isn't in the same place as before(it feels like it's moved over to the left).when I engage reverse it catches the handbrake,I'm taking it back tomorrow but just want to know what has caused this
  20. if your doing a straight swap over to coilovers you dont need the spring clamps
  21. as said before in your other thread your cars way to low and will be playing havoc with your handling, what i did is set the hight on my coilovers to the height of what i would have been with the tte springs on and my geo is spot on now all be it i have a small adjustment available if needed in future but not a lot
