  1. This is a link to a starter motor solenoid overhaul tutorial I did a while back. It may help. https://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/tutorials/article/147-starter-motor-solenoid-overhaul/ Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  2. When I bought the set I have for my Gen 2, they showed the Gen 3 on the box, so I would assume they will fit. If anything, they weren’t a perfect fit on the Gen 2, but close enough to be a solid fit. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  3. This is not true. The solar sensor does form part of the control circuit for the air conditioning. It is true that it does also control the auto lights. If they did the diagnostics inside the workshop, it is possible it wasn't getting enough light, which will throw the fault code. Shine an inspection lamp on it and the code will likely clear.
  4. Unfortunately the Gen 1 and 2’s don’t share the same parts. Do you mean it has the wrong profile tyres in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  5. I don’t know the LS myself, but if I was a betting man, I’d say that is meant to be under the bumper skin, not on top of it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  6. That seems a very decent price considering the size of a GS. Looks terrific, money well spent [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  7. I’ve heard you need to inform DVLA as the car changes from a 4 seat to 5 seat. No idea how true it is, but it makes sense, other wise insurance and the car wouldn’t tie up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  8. Like Britprius, I’ve not done pipes on the GS, but have replaced all brake lines on my Corrado. It is a lot easier to do than you might think, albeit they may not look quite as good as the factory pre-shaped ones. I’d always recommend the kunifer cupro nickel pipe, rather than standard copper, much more corrosion resistant. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  9. If the Bosch aerotwin retrofit are like the ones I tried on my Corrado, the universal connector looked utter sh1te. The cheaper eBay ones looked way better and worked perfectly. No idea what the denso ones look like though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  10. Not really following what you are after. You mean you want a TTE airbox? Or a different TTE part, and also a an airbox? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  11. Can’t help with a place to get them, but when I fitted some to my Gen 1 Sport, I took them back off after a short period as the wind noise was terrible. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  12. Where abouts are you located? Does the little red security light go out when the key is in? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  13. Welcome to LOC [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  14. Nice colour [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  15. Well done fellas, great result. Just goes to show the value of forums like these [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  16. Can we recap on what is happening, or not happening? The temp gauge goes to half way, and no higher? Have you let the car run for long enough for thermostat to open (to get flow through the radiator). If it gets too hot (temp gauge) and the rad bottom hose is still cold, did you put the thermostat in the right way up (with the airlock toggle at the top), and right way round (if it’s the wrong way round, it won’t open)? If it’s not overheating, and ambient temperature is not letting it get too hot, the fans won’t come on, so maybe there is nothing wrong. Do you get heat in the cabin? 17. Welcome to LOC. Nice collection of bikes [emoji41] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  18. Yeah, grab some lunch at a local pub would be cool. I work in Reading, in the building joined to the station by a footbridge. Nice easy commute. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  19. Yeah, stones throw from Viables. How about you? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  20. Powerflow are mentioned quite a few times if you search the forum. Some from customers, some just from a pricing perspective.
  21. I’ll keep and eye out for you if you are in Basingstoke. Not a Lexus driver anymore, so if a silver Mercedes, or blackberry VW Corrado flashes you, that’ll be me. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  22. More than likely under the dash next to the footwell lamp (under a black cover) Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  23. No MOT concerns, so I wouldn’t worry there. It’s more around the vast array of tailpipe shapes to choose from, and the noise you want. I loved the extra V8 burble on mine with a custom setup, but that’s not for everyone. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  24. Tony Banks in Leeds are very good for custom exhausts. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
  25. The two extra hoses for the auto transmission fluid cooler. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
