  1. Car looks amazin m8, makes me wanna get a TTE kit fitted and 18s now i see how mint it looks in blue
  2. I was 21 when i bought my IS, all bought and paid for with my own hard earned! i thought i woz pretty young to be drving one of these but it seems that aint the case now. Anyway with regards to insurance mine and many other insurance companies wouldnt touch me on an IS until i was 21 so eventhough id wanted one for two yrs prior i couldnt. I currently pay around £600 fully comp, 22yr old 4yrs NCB which i dnt think is bad at all
  3. Andy-R Looking good m8 yours look so similar to mine, i used black hammerite smooth, looks really subtle. http://i208.photobucket.com/albums/bb13/st...31/IMG_0119.jpg
  4. I really hope it doesnt reach £400+ i love my car but it doesnt justify spending that sort of money just to travel on our unrepaired congested roads. Im sticking with it for now until i see the march 2009 figures from the government/DVLA website and if its true what everyone is saying then im afraid ill be gettin shut :) enjoy it whilst u can! :)
  5. I will admit they use a bit of juice compared to other cars in its class but it is a superb drive and i love how it looks and feels on the road. No offence but it isnt as common as a 3series and not seeing many on the road makes me feel even more special. On the topic of fuel consumption, i drive 22 miles to work & back on mainly country roads so it does get a hammering safely overtaking others :winky: n i get about 25-28 mpg, Hope this helps. Btw im in the car trade and i dont think you can get a better quality car for the money imho. Lee
  6. I drive mine on mainly country roads to work and back (a 24 mile round trip) and do overtake cars sometimes plus its used for knockin about after work, i usually get about 25 mpg but its so hard to keep calculating at petrol prices keep fluctuating. when lookin at an IS bud check the belts bin replaced or take some torx screwdrivers n take the cam cover off and inspect yourself, check for front inner edge for tyre wear (some suffer more than others from what ive seen) inspect ball joints and just generally listen for any abnormal noises when driving it, it is a very relaxed and quiet ride so any abnormalities shouls appear, also check the cd changer loads & ejects cds and finally enjoy! i love mine and so far i aint sin anythin out there that looks as good and drives as smooth as one of these.
  7. Nice 1 jamie, had a great time eventhough it rained. lots of the public turned out too which was good, was great to put names to faces n get ideas as im new to all this, looking forward to the next one. Well Done!
