  1. In fact the whole interior is very Kia-ish......or is that Ikea-ish?
  2. Boom Shak 'a Lack.............cruuuzin' in da' hood....Bradford an' lookin' good ! :zee:
  3. Here is a link to a nice GS300 http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/1721593.htm {sorry admin!! a bit gratuitous...i'm not a bad member!)
  4. Well! there are many good tyres on the market nowadays, even some of the percieved budget brands (eg.Kumho, Falken) are very worthy performance tyres! For my opinion, based on my experience, i would recommend Vredestien Ultrac Sessanta's.......if you are not aware of this tyre, then i suggest you check out the reviews!
  5. Check out Ebay 'Lexus Breaking'........usually find 2/3 GS300's on that site! (I have, on a few occasions)
  6. I would like to get involved in this discussion but i also spent most of my school days chatting up girls
  7. Obviously has a leak! Bulb holders out and a hairdrier usually sorts the condensation out.........although a heavy spell of wet weather may bring it back! Try some good quality sealant around the whole of the headlamp housing (once removed)
  8. Hi, It is all about public perception, or more accurately, the predominantly male motorists who 'may' consider a lexus GS300 as there next purchase....I have been a part-time motor trader (and fulltime car salesman) on and of for 20 yrs.....I am on my 5th GS300 sport (three MK 1's & now my 2nd MK 2 ) Everytime i come to sell one, they certainly take some shifting!! and ultimately, usually sell on 'Price', the British car buyer is not usually a very descerning one, many being transfixed on the mainstream brands, so much so the GS300 never appears on the radar! Another major factor is the percieved running/Maintainance costs (we all know they are generally cheap to run. aside from the fuel for the 2JZ-GE engine) mainly due to their reliability!...others see it as a potential Moneypit. Most buyers will be 30 somethings maybe 40's, who have a desire to own a cheap Mid-size exec' and see the benefits (Kudos) this brings but usually make a B line for BMW's or the like, before stumbeling upon the GS....and even then, the styling, particularly of the MK 2 is not to everyones taste! Personally, after owning Many 'Executive sporting saloons' , I feel the only thing that comes close to a MK 2 GS300 Sport is a BMW E39 528/530i......and there lies another problem !...........I prefer the Lexus but only because it is different ! ..Most people don't like to be different !!!!
  9. I have been doing similar manouvers in the snow for the past month or more in my GS
  10. Mintex, Brembo or original, you cant go wrong if you buy as a pair, stick with quality brand name.....stopping is important! ps, EBC pads are good.
  11. Modern Technology going wrong! ......Usually to do with cost cutting on mass produced generic components. ( i believe the current problem is with 'Denso' electrical items) Lets get back to some good sound enginerring principles. If kinda feel for Toyota (despite their Billions ) They have forged themselves an enviable reputation for build quality over many years!...I dont suppose many other manufacturers will be to bothered though....Especially the American ones who have suffered at the hands of the Japs! ps. Wonder if there is some industrial espionage going on here??......Controversial.
  12. The very fact you do not know the difference between mild steel and stainless steel makes be doubt your abilities very much. Basically you have obtained a franchise, you know nothing about exhaust systems apart from what is on the Longlife Brochure. Have we Exhausted all the possible scenarios on this thread? How about a picture of the New Stainless system?
  13. When I push the button to "PWR"/"SNOW" nothing is happening in the dashboard too. Well, you are right........It is Broken ! Take it to a specialist. or Lexus dealer.
  14. MMmmm..! OK, having read the article, it seems a cut & dried case!, no real harm done and only damage to the two cars. As we know, this could of been a lot worse but thankfully all involved are ok. A nice fat cheque rom Greg to the family would of been nice! (maybe they did get one, hence 'No reply' & 'drawn a line under the incident' from the family!!!!)
