  1. Will do. It's the one that was on group buy a while ago. Leather top. I think it's OEM. Amit.
  2. I've had my IS200 for 3 1/2 years and the time has now come to depart from my little baby. Placed an order for a Nissan 350Z which gets delivered on 10th December. Just in time for xmas. :) This forum has been a life saver and speaking to other car owners it's probably one of the best forums around. Just wanted to say a big thanks to all for the information, tip n tricks etc. Just gotta sell my IS200 now. Anyone interested. Don't really want to trade it in to the garage. V 99 - IS200 Sport - Kensington Green - 106K miles - FLSH - PDA GPS and armrest. If I don't manage to sell it before the 10th, I'll be offering the PDA GPS, armrest and a working headunit to club members. In fact I'll swap a working headunit for a faulty one, the garage is offering me really crap money so I don't see why they should benefit. Amit.
  3. Hi All, Just got my IS200 90K service done. In addition to the service I also need the following fixed: - Water Pump leaking - OO ring - Front brake pads I decided not to get these done with the Lexus garage initially until I got a few quotes. Lexus/Toyota Bracknell wanted over 400 quid to replace the water pump and approx 120 quid for the pads. Can anyone suggest a garage in the Bracknell area that will be a bit more cost effective. Thanks in advance. Amit.
  4. I also got the dreaded err 3 a few days ago. I kept on pressing the CD eject button and eventually the CD popped out. I never go the error message again until today when I put the same CD back in and attempted to eject it. Could it be something to do with certain types of CD media. This particular one was a CD-R. Just a thought. Amit.
  5. HI Spencer, Got a bit distracted with this project. Went to the pub last night and got a bit canned, and to recover I went back to the pub today to have a few more beers. Just taking advantage of the wicked weather. B) Amit.
  6. Got the UQ89W relay from maplins today. Spencer did you manage to get yours working yet? Do you know which way the relay connects, is it the same as Geoff's diagram? Just found the manufacturer website http://www.hkerelays.com/products.html Click on model HRS2(H). Is this is the same connections? I'm probably going to finsh my circuit tomorrow. Also got hold of a tester and buld to test the unit first. Let you guys know how I get on tomorrow. Cheers, Amit.
  7. Hi Guys, I'm still waiting for relay to arrive, however I thought I'd ring my local Maplins (Luton) ans quiz them on part code UQ89W. The guy I spoke to seem to know what he was talking about and said that this was just a change over relay and not double pole. Can any of you electronics guru's confirm this from maplins site. Thanks Amit (atailor)
  8. Yep everything for a little over 11 quid apart from the relay. They said the relay could take upto a week to come in. :-( If it works I'll post the part code list. Don't have a tester. :-( Although I could get hold of one. But I wouldn't know what to do with it anyway. :iraqi-info-minister: Thanks guys, Amit.
  9. Hi Guys, I've been following this thread on and off for a while and decided to give it a go. I went to maplins with the part list and I think I have most of the components. They did not stock the relay so that's on order. In total without the relay it came to £11. Sound a bit cheap to me but I ain't complaining. The guy at maplins wasn't too about the exact spec on some of the components so I got the nearest I could. Some questions: (probably very stupid ones too!) Is stripboard the same as veroboard? Just in case I totally mess this up, any chance of a part code list from Maplins or any othe online component retailer. I was hoping there was going to be a kit of some sort as I am useless with electronics. Thanks guys. Amit. (atailor)
  10. Hi All, Just got back from a long stag weekend in Barcelona. I left my car outside a friends house near Heathrow only to find when I returned last night that some had hit the side rear of the car. The assholes did not leave any details. I haven't had any body work done on the car before and was wondering if I should stick with Lexus or go somewhere else. Depending on the cost I amy or may not go through my insurance. The hit has damaged the rear drivers door and the back side panel. The back side panel is pretty big and I'm sure this is not going to be cheap. Can any one recommend a good bodyshop in the Luton or surrounding areas (Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire etc.) I could post a picture if that helps. Thanks in advance. Amit. (atailor) :(
  11. I paid £468 for my 80K service last month at Lexus Hatfield. This also included a water pump bypass tube at £72.
  12. Thanks Nige for the link. :) Ouch on the tyre wear. I was hoping that the road noise was going to be better than my current P7000. Oh well, will soon find out tomorrow. Will tell more then....
  13. I've had my IS200 for a couple of years now and I purchased the car with Bridgstone's. After a few months I replaced all four with Pirelli P7000. What a big mistake. I would not recommend these tyres to anyone. Anyway the time has come again after a puncture over the weekend to replace my tyres. After looking at members comments I went for the Toyo Proxes T1-S. Getting them fitted tomorrow. Will let you know comments later. Amit.
  14. To answer your original question LexusIS200Sport, I used the following Workshop guide Click Here I have a IS200 Sport (with Sat Nav) 1999 on V plate. I had to remove the dash air vent which clips out and then unscrew the tray from underneath. Just a big empty gap underneath. Sorry to spoil the suprise. Good Luck. Amit (atailor)
  15. Just reached over 80K on my IS200 Sport on a 99 V plate. I paid £468 and some pence at Lexus ****** for a 80K service and a new water pump tube. As a gold member I also claimed my discount. This one service covered the cost of Gold alone. :-) Did I pay too much? How much do other garages charge for a 80K service? On a plus point the service was great from Lindsey. Thanks, Amit (atailor)
