Does anyone know how to take the covers off the interior lights so i can change the bulbs, i ,m afraid incase i force them and break the covers. Again pictures or walkthrough would help. Cheers !

Just a quick one guys, the by-pass lead bought off ebay, does that plug directly into the amp and then to the stereo.

Does anyone know how to take off the glove compartment so i can get to the amp at the back of it, pictures would also make it a bit easier ! Cheers !

Hi guys ! Spent all day stripping down the centre console to get out my faulty stereo out of my IS 200 SE, went to a local store to find out they didn,t order the correct by-pass lead and the fascia was wrong. So at the mo i have no stereo (have purchased a JVC unit). Does any one know the correct part number for the fascia (FP...) i need, not too keen getting it off e-bay, also for the by-pass lead. If i have to i will get them off e-bay, but you don,t know what youre getting really. Could do with sum help guys!

Guys ! I went to my a store local to get a replacement Fascia for my IS 200 SE, it was £15, so ugly and cheap looking as if it wasn,t finished, i didn't bother, i don't want to order one from e-bay in case it's the same, any ideas where i can get a nice fascia, that goes and looks well. I also enquired about the by-pass lead , he said it is the same used on a Toyota £10, is that true!

Bought a JVC AV-XD1 DVD/Car stereo which i,m hoping to fit in my IS 200 Auto SE , could anyone answer the following questions: Where can i get the replacement fascia from a.s.a.p Is it a case of taking the original unit out and replacing it with the new one or will i need any adaptors. I tried a store near me called Car Sound they said they would have to order the fascia , around £20 but i wouldn,t get it before Monday, i was hoping to fit it on Saturday, any suggestions please ! My battery is dying aswell , been quoted £60 + vat for Bosch with 4yr guarantee, is that reasonable !

DOES ANYONE KNOW HOW TO TAKE THE STEREO OUT OF IS 200, MY'N HAS BEEN PLAYING UP FOR A WHILE, I HAVE A NEW JVC ONE WHICH I WANT TO REPLACE IT WITH. HAS ANYONE GOT A STEP BY STEP GUIDE AND PICTURES, I,VE HEARD YOU,VE GOTTA BE CAREFUL AS WHEN IT COMES OUT IT CAN SCRATCH THE SIDES ! HOW LONG WOULD IT TAKE ? AND WILL HALFORDS HAVE A REPLACEMENT FASCIA ? CHEERS !

You can get the stainless dial kit from Jason_l on here but i think he's in las Vegas at the moment? And there quite easy to fit just got to be a bit carefull with the needles when you do them and make sure you put the needle rest pins back in before you put them back in the car? But there very nice when done.. B) :D any ideas on how much ?

anyone know where you can get the stainless or white dials for IS 200 please, how much, are they easy to fit ?

When you say Centre Console do you mean this (I know this is a manual not auto) The Gear Surround or do you meanwhere the Radio sits above the Traction Control @ Heated Seats Buttons ? Also which lights are not working ? I cant help with which bulbs , but I have walkthru's to get it all out. does anyone have a picture of the back of the speedo to say what bulb goes where, and if there is a picture with the back cover of the speedo off aswell, is there any bulbs behind the cover which i presume clips after you take off a few screws, it may not make sense, as i mentioned a couple of days ago i replaced my bulbs, and the new ones aren,t bright enough, so i took chimp's advice and have now ordered 501 w5w wide angle 6 led ones,hoping they will be brighter, i just cannot see the mph needle in the dark with the bulbs i got and the the 3 dials in the middle, ie: temp, battery etc... i could do with some help here guys, much appreciated !!
