  1. I now have a working Hybrid DVD for European countries: Czech Republic, Finland, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Romania, and Slovakia. It does not look like it is as simple as described above. However using this disk I am positive I could make hybrids for the rest of Europe if someone gives me copies of the European disks. You can email me at jfkn@cox.net Jo Balle, please send me your valid email, your server @isuisse.com is rejecting my emails. Create email with different domaint like Yahoo.com jfkn@cox.net or call my cell 420 736 204 412. There is not much time left, I am returning to US mid September.

  4. Hi Josef, I struggled with this several months ago. The secret is there are hidden buttons on the LCD screen, in the top left and bottom left corners. Press the top left corner of the lcd screen (nothing will happen), then press the bottom left corner of the LCD screen (nothing will happen), press the top left corner of the LCD screen again; hey presto the DVD will spit out the disc!!! I know its hard to believe but it works every time. Let me now how you get on. Thanks for this super solution. You know better then Lexus field technical specialists. Below I quote their email. Sorry I did not find your answer until today. I contacted Lexus customer service and was told to take it to a dealer. Then I contacted 2 dealership in California and was told the navigation drive must be removed from the vehicle and send to Denso. I contacted total 3 Lexus dealerships with the same result. This is exactly what Lexus emailed me: "Matt Hollander forwarded your e-mail to the service department regarding your Navagation player/unit lacking ability to eject the non-Navagation DVD Disc. We contacted the factory field technical specialist, he mentioned that unfortunately, there is nothing on the car that will “sync” or prompt the eject icon to function. That is written into the Navagation disc. The only suggestion they made was to possibly have a close “Toyota” facility to remove unit, and perhaps either send to Denso for dismantling & retrieval of foreign disc, or attempt to remove outer case of player, & manually turn the feed rollers to eject dvd from player."
  5. I tried this procedure and it didn't work. Any suggestions? First of all you need to use good quality DVD and good quality DVD dual layer burner. Also you need software that decodes the protected DVD. First make a copy of your existing navigation DVD and if that works you know you are on the right track. What worked for me getting US Navigation DVD upgrade were Memorex DVD+R DL media and Pioneer DVR-215DSV burner. Software used was DVD Decripter version 3.5.4.0. I have not succeeded yet in making a European DVD for US navigation. My 2006 Lexus GS300 has US generation 4 navigation DVD. I need to get the corresponding European maps to try to make one as described here by Shapa Nov 27 2007. I would appreciate an advice how to get the needed European maps for gen. 4 navigation DVD. Anyone who has successfully made a European DVD for US navigation please share your knowledge. You can email me at jfkn@cox.net
  6. Lexus GS 300, model year 2006 has Mark Levinson navigation system. Audio DVD was inserted by mistake into the navigation slot. The MENU button does not function; I believe because it needs correct navigation DVD in the system to function. As a result I can't get the Map DVD screen to access the DVD eject switch. How can I eject the audio DVD from the navigation slot?
  7. Thanks for your input. The lights on the trunk lid of my car are used as back lights. This means that my car has 2 back lights on each side. I checked a European model of the same car and find that the trunk lid lights have dual function. The fog light is integrated within the back light. I would like to check the wiring however could not figure out how to remove the back liner to access it. The interior light switch is also different on the European model. The only difference is that my car does not have the fog light position of the fog collar switch.
  8. I moved to the Czech Republic from US, California and brought with me my Lexus GS300, 2006 model, made April 05. The car does not seem to have the rear Fog Red Light nor the orange indicator required in Europe. I understand that only one light is required here. I will appreciate any advice that would explain how to add the Red Fog light and its indicator easily. I do not want to make any mickimouse, rather a conversion to European style. Thanks :)
