  1. Sorry I'm new to this, but is that the standard spec for all 2.4l Harriers? It says 2005 in your post but it's a bit out of my price range, would the same spec apply for say a 2002/3 model? Cheers
  2. £190 not bad considering we paid Audi £250 to do an A3 :tsktsk:
  3. Hello mate, thanks for the welcome and thanks for the info. We travel to Belgium/The Netherlands and up north quite a bit and it was excellent info reading your write up, our last trip filled the current car footwells front and rear after we couldn't put anymore in the boot! Gonna go for a test drive then weigh up buying here or importing, followed by conversion questions.... So many questions.......
  4. The missus informed me last night she preferred the look of the Mk2 guess that's the decision made then. Now to go drive one and find one in our price bracket. One more question though, I've saw elsewhere on this forum that some guy imported a new Harrier and tried to sell it for £27k, quite quickly this was reduced to something like £17k. If this is the normal differentiation between imports as new, then would the same apply for used? Guess my quesiton really is, is it worth looking to import something a bit younger for the same price and an older model here?
  5. Hi, I'm thinking about importing a car as an option, but would like to know what sort of costs are involved, ie shipping, insurance etc.. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Cheers
  6. Thanks for the info chaps, I'm trying to get a test drive at the weekend with the local dealer.
  7. Thanks for the info Nick, we're going to our local dealer this weekend to check out the boot space if they have a sportcross and see if the buggy fits in there easily, I'll be able to tell what else will fit in around it then. You've got one sitting on your drive? For sale is it? :shutit: Spot on mate, had VW's since I could drive then onto Audi when the wife decided she deserved one but unfortunately now the A3 is too small as we're growing, the family that is, not us!! Having had an Audi, do you feel that the Lexus is another level up? I thought this with the VW to Audi, the feel and ride were totally different much much better in the Audi. Thanks Rob, I'll remember that :)
  8. Is that the only difference between the s1 & 2? the 4/5 speed box and the facelift?
  9. Hi Steve, I'm thinking of getting a RX300 and converting to LPG, can you post your pics of your wheel bracket in the boot? Cheers
  10. Thanks mate, I've PM'd you. Anyone had this converted to LPG?
  11. Hi, Due to impending arrival of baby 2 we're looking at buying a Cross sport, I'd be interested to know how much you decide to put the car up for if you decide to sell. Cheers
  12. Hello, As mentioned in another part of the forum I'm looking to venture into the world of the Lexus B) primarily so I can house another little 'un on our travels. We're looking to get either a Sportcross or a RX300 but would like to get your opinions on the overall practicality of the RX300, for example, how much can you actually fit in the boot? I've read with interest the thread here on LPG conversion as this is something that we'd do if we bought one, what do you do with the spare wheel, do you carry it around or leave it in the garage? I've seen one post where a member has said he's done some mod to keep the wheel in the boot, I'd be interested to see a pic of this and how hard it would be to do. How many miles do you get on a full tank of gas? Are there any models which should be avoided? I've done a bit of research and I'd prefer the face lifted model which is 2002 onwards I think, they're pretty well loaded with standard equipment, but value for money which is the most favourable? I was looking at the SE with the leather trim. And is there a long wheelbase version? Don't think I'll ask anything about the ride and reliability etc.. I'll go with the badge and the numerous awards for that. Any other info which anyone thinks is relevant would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance
  13. Hello, My first post here as I'm looking to venture into the world of the Lexus B) so I'll apologise in advance if this is in the wrong place or the quesitons are stupid. We're looking to get either a Sportcross or a RX300 but would like to get your opinions on the overall practicality of the Sportcross, for example, how much can you actually fit in the boot? 2 suitcases, a travel cot and a pram and more? I've seen some pics and there seems to be 2 levels in there, what's that all about? Also, has anyone had their converted to LPG as this is something that we'd do if we bought one, what do you do with the spare wheel, do you carry it around or leave it in the garage? How many miles do you get on a full tank of gas? Are there any models which should be avoided? I've seen the spec sheet for them on these boards and they seem to be pretty loaded, but value for money which is the most favourable? Don't think I'll ask anything about the ride and reliability etc.. I'll go with the badge and the numerous awards for that. Any other info which anyone thinks is relevant would be appreciated. If I'm understanding how these boards work properly then I'll pose the same questions about the RX300 in the approprite thread. Thanks in advance
