  1. I dont see why anyone would do that, bound to make more money selling on ebay with no reserve. I sold my mams Primera on ebay for £550, webuyanycar offered £45 lol

    Wanted Is 200

http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=62624 Unfortunately an auto, but fits the bill perfectly otherwise if you can compromise.
  3. My auto (unmodified) can get about 35mpg motorway driving. However my daily commute to work along back streets and involving lots of traffic lights/stopping and starting it does about 10mpg to be honest.
  4. Regardless of what any figures say, the Saxo VTR and VTS will be much faster, so will virtually any proper hot hatch. IS200's are reliable smooth comfortable family cars but also big, slow and boring. Rubbish on petrol and very impractical for a big car too. If you want something fast and fun or a drifter don't buy one, simples. I'm not meaning to sound negative, but if people take their rose tinted glasses off I'm sure they can see the limitations of it.
  5. I wonder if it will be any good? Pretty much everyone I know is fairly unhappy with their new IS's due to build quality issues.
  6. Spotted this on the bay, thought it might be of use. Seems cheap as its not advertised very well! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...em=260457032433
  7. As for the stuck in CD's if you take the back cover off you can just push them out with a screw driver. It might be worth cleaning and putting back together and seeing if it still happends.

    New Alloys

You need to drop the company an email and find out what the offset and width is.

    New Alloys

The first set definately wont fit as the offsets are too high and widths too wide, and the second will stick past the front arches by quite a lot.
  10. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/ind...showtopic=57205 How to keep the Nav working, just did this myself at weekend and definately works. Basically a series of diodes and resistors on a PCD board that tricks the nav into thinking the standard headunit is still there by creating the correct resistance. You will also need an "amp bypass cable" off ebay.
  11. Just to let everyone know did this today and it definately does work. Big thanks to Anders for posting it up.
  12. You need a Rockford Fosgate 360 signal proccessor. I've got one and it works a treat. Although in a way I regret buying it as 6 months after fitting I got the usual ERR3 code from my stock headunit so I'm having to change anyway.
  13. I've got mine lowered about 80mm front and 100mm on the rear. Also got mine set at about 20% hardness on the damping, which does me fine. I dont really have any clearance issues, the underbody scrapes all the time but its only the plastic covers, if I've got two people on the back the exhaust hits over speedbumps.
  14. I have a silver one, but got to say black is by far the best colour.
  15. I wouldnt mind one, but whenever I see them on ebay it always looks as though the leather has gone saggy. Guess its since the seats are so soft they dont wear too well.
  16. Anyone know what it is? Mine require a little touch up, but I cant seem to find the paint code anywhere. Its kind of a flat grey colour, so dont want to buy normal wheel touch up paint.
  17. What width/offset are the wheels? Can you not just trim the lips off?
  18. My new headunit has the option of DAB with an additional adaptor, I'm tempted to go for it as a I do like listeing to Radio 1XTRA which is only availbale on DAB. All I'm wondering is it worth it? Is the SQ any better on normal FM radio stations for example?
  19. Single din headunits look absolutely terrible in an IS dash though IMHO
  20. Not even going to bother with Ipod playback, got a fairly top end ICE install so usually only listen to original CD's anyway. A DVD disc can probably hold a good few albums anyway, even ripped at top qulaity. Have you got the bluetooth kit for yours Deckie? Is it any good?
  21. Have a look for JVC KW-AVX710, few places still have them in stock as last years model. Just picked up a brand new one for £250. This years equivalent is virtually identical (think its the first link above) and nearly double the price.
  22. About to start doing this too, after the dreaded ERR3 message, just ordered a JVC double din DVD unit. I hope my Fascia surround turns out as good as yours Deckie, really nice job.
  23. It looks fantastic, nice to see something totally different. Adore those wheels too, a little bit different to the usual Euroline's/Meister's/VSX's etc that are pretty common on the VIP scene. I would have preffered to see the arches flared round, rather than the pulled (almost Escort Cosworth style) arrangement you've gone for, but if you like it fair play, its definately something different. Really looking forward to seeing it finished. Have you got anythign special lined up for the interior? I'd love to see cream Snakeskin or something totally OTT like that.
  24. Offset is a bit of a personal preference I think. Personally I'd go as wide as possible so the bottom set would do me. Also liking the slight stagger on the offsets.
