  1. Looks like reprogramming the keys worked in my case :p Car is running again
  2. A guy from Lexus came over with a scan tool but not a single fault code showed up so ended up having it towed to the workshop. Fuel pump is running fine and they are going through the whole fuel system, and after a while they asked for both keys so they are looking into the immobiliser/electronics. *money flies away with the wind*
  3. Yes everything is working as it should... Windscreen wipers, seats, radio and windows is all functioning as normal
  4. Hey guys. Two days ago my car didn't start for some reason so I plugged in a battery charger but its still the same problem. Did a couple of searches online and saw a couple of different post mentioning that the 250 had some problems with flooding in colder climates when moved shorter distances. The two days prior to the fail to start the car was moved 3 times in the driveway so I tried the unflooding (brake and throttle fully applied) but no luck there. My car was recalled because of a problem with injection gaskets or something (fire hazardous) just a month ago and I was wondering if it might have something to do with the problems I'm currently experiencing. Anyone who have experienced similar? Video of startup:
  5. new alloys ordered!=)

  6. Hi guys :D Does anyone know where i can buy a new genuine Timingbelt kit? :)
  7. Okay they are open tomorrow as well. Almost impossible to notice the big text further down on the page -_-
  8. Hi guys have been busy for a while (earning money) :) Ordered the alloys yesterday but guess it will take a couple of weeks before I'll have em here(Norway) but it really worth it. Guess i would have to pay like £ 1200 for the same set of alloys over here. Have to pay taxes tough... 25% of £ 700. Guess I'll give em a call on Monday or do they have open tomorrow?
  9. Haven't lowered and not going to lower my car. Roads here simply doesen't have good enough quality
  10. Okay i don't have a clue about this and i realy tried to find out the offset i need but I'm stuck so was hoping you could help me. Was looking at a tread recommending and 43 offset was recommended for 8'' wide alloys. Will these alloys fit at all?
  11. Grats mate :) Took me 1 year after my crash to find a new IS 200. My life was horrific without :( Btw Seatbelts+good security is the reason that I'm alive and can go to work in a beautiful IS 200 everyday :) Wear seatbelt guys!
  12. Availability and Taxes! A IS 200 starts at about £ 16 000 included taxes An Altezza would start at about £ 22-23 000? included taxes Buying a altezza engine from uk £ 3-4000? The taxes in Norway are based on kW but after 10 years you can have as much kW as you like with out any extra taxes (still need to do some paperwork) So it would be cheaper to swap engine but i would also recommend a turbo'd engine :D Brakes have to be up rated and maybe the undercarriage as well
  13. Seriously it was really hard to install my bypass cable! :o The amp was placed on the right side of the car behind the glove compartment . Took med 1 hour and had do take apart bits of my dash to reach it. It's a easy job for you guys in UK compared to this <_< BTW: What do i have to do to get a dim source? I want my headunit to dim when switching the light switch
  14. You have to open up the headlights by heating them with a hairdryer then start taking them apart which will take about 30 min or something for each headlight. When the headlights are open you are likely to find out that the angels eyes won't fit so you have give up fitting angel eyes and reseal the headlights without them and after resealing you are likely to get water in your headlights. Don't bother :)
  15. Never used gloves and never smelled like fuel after tanking. But only been driving petrol and it tend to evaporate quickly so i guess you only have to wear gloves for tanking up a diesel
  16. I have a belt that's slipping too but it's not the power steering as turning the wheels has no effect on the noise. Water pump belt?
  17. You can't get a replacement trough your insurance company? Windscreen is a essential part so over here we can get our windscreen changed with no loss of bonus and and only have to pay like £ 400. But don't know how it's in UK tough
  18. Oh My god! I feel in love
  19. Taking of slowly in the snow to prevent the wheels from spinning tend to wear down the clutch quicker. Sounds like the clutch weared out... Yes shifting the car in to a high gear while driving slowly will also help to se if the clutch is bad. If the car get higher revs than it normaly gets while pressing the accelerator to the floor then there is a clutch related problem
  20. Deckie did you paint and fill the gaps in your facia? Looks really nice :) Which paint will look closest to the original look?
  21. okay i get it :) The wiring from the amp has a plug that only fit the original headunit. guess i have to find a bypass cable on ebay or something. Guess I can get a iso adater from a dealer and as for the facia i allready got one :) thanks for the help guys!
  22. Hi i have the Lexus premium system and was wondering why you guys talk about this bypass cable and why i need it
