Did look on there, never seem to find any thing on there. Perhaps i'm always looking in the wrong place. Looked under cars,vehicles,motorcycles., can never seem to find a specific car part. Hi there, just wondered if any body could help my neighbour. He has a 2000 GS300 and some how has lost off the front bumper the double headlight washer jet (complete unit) drivers side. Dark blue. I know from lexus this would probably be very exspensive so wondered if anybody new anyone braking a blue MK2 GS. Have no idea how it fell off. Any help would be appreciated please. Thanks Phil

Thanks for all your reply's, Have just got off the phone from recieving a call from lexus Derby, sales manager. He could not apologise enough and wanted to know every detail, he agreed the car was not up to standard and what i was told the day before would happen to the car was not carried out and an internal enquiry will take place. He has promised to find me a suitable car and will bring it down to me to view if he can locate one. So i can't say much more too that other than he is trying to put things right for me and i appreciate that. So watch this space hopefully with Lexus Derby, Norwich, Ipswich looking for me it won't be to long before i get one.He did say they started it saturday afternoon and expected it to start although there are a few issues with the batteries on th RX400h. Unfortunately they all are :( Have you tried looking on Lexus website and finding one then asking Norwich to get it transferred down for your inspection. This happens quite regularly in the motor trade. That way they would get the deal and you would not be messed about. Yes mate i have , but they are part of the incape group and would really only be able to get cars from there other group members ( Derby being one of them ) but they could not get that for the price i got quoted from derby ! Other dealerships they say the price has to be right for them to be able to get a particlate car down. Phil

Hi i have been looking for a RX400h now for two months after selling my GS300 and thought i would buy from a lexus approved dealer. My local lexus dealer Norwich have been looking for me but i want a SE or SE-L under 40K miles and they only have one with 49,000 on clock which they offered me for £18,975, good price but had various scrapes and mileage to high for me. So when i see that Lexus Derby had a SE-L for 20,9750 with 43k i thought might be worth a look so contacted them and on saturday came to a price of £20k and said that i would come up on sunday (yesterday) and have a look and possible go back by train on thursday and drive home, as i live in Lowestoft suffolk. I asked them could they put the car under cover so it would not be covered in snow or wet so i could have a good look over it. I also asked whether it had been painted and they told me had a couple of stone chips touched up but nothing major and that it was all ready to go. The sales man said he would not be there but would tell his colleague my requirements and that i was coming tomorrow.He said he would speak to me again on tuesady to arrange me picking it up. I left my house at 8.30 and drove up to Derby with the roads being terrible, icy, i had a 9 hour 320 mile round trip and didn't get home till gone 5pm. When i got to the dealer the car was outside covered in snow, i went in and they got the keys but could only open the drivers door as the battery was totally flat so central locking didn't work, the rear bumper had been sprayed (badly) you could see where they had masked the black plastic up, there was a scrape on passenger front bumper, the fuel filler flap didn't fit flush for some reason, scratch's down passenger side doors, when i pointed these out , you could see the sales guy was embarassed. He did offer to fill my car up for me, but this is not what i expect from Lexus. When i was told the car was ready to go i least expect it to start!! I phoned Lexus uk this morning and they were not much help, i asked if there was a standard that a car had to be before it was put onto the forecourt and was told no there wasn't. I have emailed the saleman who i was dealing with and am still waiting for a reply, i dont want to buy from a non lexus dealer but its looking more likely. I know i have an eye for paint work but even stevie wonder would not buy that. Still looking. Phil

Has he had it parked up and not used for a while? just a thought, my GS i didn't use for a while and when i put it in for a service they removed the pollen filter only to find it was full of peanuts as was all the air vent ducts, the GS was home to mice over the winter months, 2 hours labour to strip vents and clean out, that had a rather unpleasent smell out of vents for a few months. Just a thought. Phil

Thanks for the info David, ordered a set thursday for my father-in-laws LS400, arrived friday morning and fitted myself this morning. £36.75 all in. superb. Bit tricky getting old ball ends out but found best way was to gently cut old strutt ends then fitted ball ends to new strutts, took 20 mins, job done. Also agree very nice firm to deal with. Thanks guys, height wise seems ok but the length at 4750mm is listed shorter than my GS and that fits, but by use of the tape measure it looks to long so bit confused,but being shorter than the GS cant see any problems. Dont know where they measure from, but 4750mm, 15"7 is longer than my garage! Thanks Phil

Hello there i am going to replace my GS300 with an RX400H, i know this might be a stupid question but could somebody please tell me if an RX400H will fit into a standard size garage, ie. Height wise is my main concern, i have a standard garage with henderson up and over door and am a bit concerned if it will scrape the top , width wise i dont think its wider than the GS, but height? If somebody could advise it would be much appreicated please. Thanks Phil

I got mine from brakes international (I think Tigerfish recommended them) although you have to search through the site a little. Quality is fine and price is reasonable although I'd probably exchange the caliper now rather than taking the time to completely refurb an existing one after doing mine. Quicker and easier but more expensive... Dave Thanks mate, spoke to lexus today they want £63.46 +vat for seal kit(does both front calipers) so have ordered two complete calipers instead of the hassle from brakes international should be here tomorrow/wed so i can fit before my trip to nottingham to watch forest at weekend. Cost was £67.29 +vat each .You have to pay extra £30 +vat per caliper which you get back when you send your old ones in exchange. Thanks for the info. Phil Got my calipers today from brakes international (01706 666999) only ordered them yesterday at 4pm, just finished fitting them, superb replacement caliper, well worth doing and excellent service. Hi there does anybody know where i can get a front brake caliper seal kit for a mk11 GS registered 2000 X i have had a look at some of the sites listed on here but they dont seem to list seal repair kits for mine just complete calipers. Having problems with one piston sticking, the other is fine, removed at the weekend and kept working it out then clamping back in, but not as good as the other so would like to strip down and clean but cant locate parts, any help would be appreciated please. Hi all just found this section, I,m phil, 41 married 18 years 2 kids, 14 & 10 work at sizewell B nuclear power station, operations engineer owner of Gs 300se for last 4 years, before that is200 live in lowestoft suffolk. hoping to replace GS shortly for RX400H Been going to same garage for servicing for last 15 years superb dealer Roys motor company norwich toyota/lexus specialist. :) All best to you all.
