After one week I am more than happy with the car, some reservations regarding the gear ratios (sixth gear seems superfluous) the car is totally different to the VXR, but I have to grow up sometime. I am planning to fit MOMO V10S wheels and Eibach pro springs soon, simply to enhance the stance of the car.

And you are correct, I will definitely miss the performance. the VXRPC Stage 2 and Remus exhaust is a heady combination. way to addictive. The Lexus is a totally different drive. Anyway, I have made my decision and I do not regret it. I like fact that it isn't a beemer and the lines and shut gaps are nice and clean. I will put 18" Momo V10's on it as soon as funds allow Old and New

Thanks for the replies, my mind is a little more at ease. My first impression was better than that after driving my bosses BMW 3 series diesel. I found tat quite noisey when driving compared to the Lexus.

I have just put a deposit on a new IS220d - but looking at the reports in this forum, I'm not sure if I have dropped an almighty clanger. Are there any satisfied Lexus IS owners out there? I have p/x my Astra VXR in an effort to reduce running costs. The IS offers at the moment simply appaer to be very good
