  1. It seems like you installed it yourself. I have got IS220d and today i had appt with halfords for installation of mki9200 but apparently they opened the front parts and realised that my car has got amplifier and they'll have to get more leads to go to boot and it will cost £70 more... Was it that difficult for you... Can somebody advice of a place where i can get it fitted. halfords now can't fit it. carphonewarehouse can't fit it for same reason as they say that the sound wont come from all speakers.
  2. Ya it is expensive. as far as I remember Lexus in Leicester was quoting about £300-400.
  3. Thanks for your quick reply.. I understand what you mean but to instal Vaistech one or Grom i'll have to take out factory fitted cd/mp3 changer which I dont know how to do.. I tried to search for it but couldnt.. I dont want to buy something and then realise that I dont know what to do with that..
  4. Hello everybody... Can somebody help me please... I have got IS220D (56 reg) and I want to play the new IPOD touch through the car stereos... Can you tell me what are the ways I can connect the ipod to the car sound system.. There's a Aux port in the box between driver and passenger's seat.. Is that of any good... thanks
  5. I bought the car from a finance company as seen so I am not concerned about the previous owner turning up. Plus it was bought as seen so no room for negotiation unfortunately. It looks like I am stuck with cost. Thanks for the comments Hi. Moving on. I now have a replacement fob (e-bay) but unfortunately Lexus tried but now say they can only reprog. 'virgin' keyfobs. Has anyone had used a smartfob reprogrammed or know how to clear one? It looks like bite the bullet time and buy a new one!! I am in the same boat... I bought the IS220d 2006 model from motorpoint and got only 1 key... Have you found any solution yet or are you buying the new key ultimately....
  6. Thanks mate.... :) I hope I get some advice soon as more I am reading on different tyres more confused I am. There are so many mixed reviews for all tyres. the tyres I have checked out so far are 1) Goodyear NCT5 2)Michelin Primary HP (but they are more like summer tyres) 3) Continental SP cont 2 4) Michelin Pilot Primacy G1 5) Dunlop sp2000 and sp01 Now I am very confused . Probably I am being greedy that I want all qualities in the tyre --- that is long tread life, all weather, quiet and good grip, value for money... I hope I get an answer soon.. Is there any other tyre which should go on this list!!!
  7. Hey Everybody, I was wondering if somebody can help me please. Front tyres of my 220d have gone below the legal limits in first 20k miles. They were Bridgestone tyres. I am quite confused now which one should I get now. I need tyres which are quiet and have got good grip in both wet and dry roads.. tyre size is 205/55/R16/W And if somebody knows a good cheap garage in/around Leicester then it would be fab. Thanks
