I HAVE A LS 400 AND HAD THE ORIGINAL GAS REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH THE CURRENT SPEC GAS AND IT WORKS JUST FINE HOWEVER I HAVE A WHIRRING NOISE WHEN I SWITCH ON MY AIRCON WHICH CHANGES TONE AS IACCELERATE DOES ANY BODY ELSE HAVE THIS NOISE MINE IS A 93

I HAVE A 93 LS400 IT DOES GOOD MILEAGE WITH THE AIRCON ON , YOU CAN GET CHEAP TYRES ANYWHERE (JUST HAD CHEAP N NASTIES FITTED £180 FOR ALL FOUR) HOWEVER YOU WILL COMPROMISE ON THE ROAD NOISE ASPECT BUT NOT BY MUCH. TO FIT STANDARD TYRES WILL COST DEARLY SO FOR THE SAME MONEY AS FACTORY GET A NICE SET OF ALLOYS AND YOKAHAMA RUBBER FOR ABOUT £850-900, STILL A BIT NOISY BUT LOOKS THE DOGS NUTS . YOU CAN USE A MAKESHIFT SHEILD FOR THE ALTERNATOR AND THIS WILL HELP AS MY PUMP JUST VOMITED ALL OVER THE ENGINE AND MY DODGY LOOKING BIT OF ALLY PLATE SAVED THE ALTERNATOR FINE . BY THE WAY MINE HAS DONE 145,00 MILES AND IS STILL GOING STRONG . GOOD LUCK AND HOPE YOU GET HOOKED TOO. I HAVE MY SERVICING DONE IN A BACK STREET GARAGE AND IT HAS PROVEN FINE SO FAR , JUST MAKE SURE THE MECHANIC IS NOT A TOTAL ****** FIRST. :mat:

you could try having them re connolised which is basicly a respray on your seats i had mine done it looks fantastic , but i dont have a contact number as the guy has retired but there should be others out there doing it. look on the net for LEATHER HIDE RESTORERS

you need to have the airbag sensor reset at a dealer it should only cost half an hours labour because the car has been jacked up it has triggered the switch in the sensor. sorry but it cant be reset by any other means. it does not sound like a fault BUT it is possible that the wiring to the sensor has been broken which will cost a small fortune to diagnose at the main dealer because of the time involved.although this is VERY unlikely. i am judging this on ALL airbag systems , as with all lexus they might do things different so dont whinge if im wrong. but i should be right LOL. PSi think ive covered my back

i have same problem and have a bit of knowledge on auto electrics the cheapest option is to remove the seat and swap the left hand tilt motor for the rear up/down motor this allows recline but does not allow as much movement in the rise fall of the lower seat pad , but if like me you will have the seat at a set height and leave it there so not a problem :iraqi-info-minister:
