  1. Welcome, I'm a bit of a newbie myself.I just picked up a set of good secondhand mats on ebay but they are quite rare and snapped up quickly.just keep looking! The ones from Lexus birmingham were/are on ebay although they are original they haven't got logos on.The only other alternative is to find someone who's breaking an is200/300 and see if they have any. Good luck.
  2. A small price to pay to save even the smallest of bumps! It is only for a few seconds where men are concerned lol! If you know what I mean. Thanks for the feedback FiZiX.
  3. Not sure if anyone has seen this WORTH CHECKING YOUR LICENSE ASAP! Unwitting motorists face £1,000 fines as thousands of photocard driving licences expire Thousands of motorists are at risk of being fined up to £1,000 because they are unwittingly driving without a valid licence. They risk prosecution after failing to spot the extremely small print on their photocard licence which says it automatically expires after 10 years and has to be renewed - even though drivers are licensed to drive until the age of 70. The fiasco has come to light a decade after the first batch of photo licences was issued in July 1998, just as they start to expire. Motoring organisations blamed the Government for the fiasco and said 'most' drivers believed their licences were for life. This is a clip of an email a friend sent me.It does go into more detail but I cut it short & sweet!
  4. My God, I've worked hard for years to get a car like an is200 i'm 43 this year. Yous young'uns have got it on a plate My first car was a mk111 cortina from chelmsford auctions lol. I'm only jealous.... By the way Bently's are for old people LEXUS for the clever.
  5. Thanks Keith, I did what they said not to do and that was brush paint them.I think it was "ormi" that stated about not getting paint on the 'o'ring.Although I couldn't see any O ring there is a small groove which seperates the sensor from the body. Not wanting to get paint in this groove I decided to brush paint using 2 tins of Humbrol enamel and mix to match the colour as close as possible.I have since tried the operation of the sensors but cannot find any noticable difference. If I can help anymore just ask. Thanks.Darren. p.s. I used the cut out piece of the bumper to take as a colour match.
  6. Congratulations, Try before you buy. Most shops have a demo model you can try in the boot, i'm sure you'll find the right one. They make a pram/buggy come carry-tot all in one which looks pretty neat! There also a lot cheaper than a sportcross lol.
  7. Sorry not the best photo I know but they are now colour coded.
  8. Thanks ormi & geoffers, two useful pieces of info to keep in mind.
  9. I measured each one from the same point along the bumper.Measure down from the top lip, then measure up from the ridge at the bottom of the bumper. use tape to mark onto & that will also stop your drill slipping.DO NOT measure from the road surface. for spacing use the boot cath as a centre & work away approx 420mm from centre to centre.hope this helps. Most sensors are made to be colour coded you may need to take the shine off with a scotch pad prior to spraying if in doubt check instructions or ask in shop when you buy. Most recomend spraying NOT brushing paint on.I'll let you know soon if it affects them.... Thanks. Darren.
  10. I took my time because I wasn't sure exactly what I was doing then things just fell into place.I also spent time tapeing all the wires and cable tying them to the existing loom.In all about 3.5 hours but I reckon I could do one again in half the time. Yes the kit was from Maplins at Lakeside last week it was £39.99 now £29.99 maybe even cheaper in the new year. Thanks. Darren. looks good mate you done a good job and all the sensors look level!! thats bloody cheap at my work(toyota) lexus use the same system its 170 for the sensor fitting kit(inc's wirin, bleeper, tape, cable tie's and the sensor ecu) and a other 80 for the sensors!!!more if they come body coloured. you wanna know the dealer time for fittin them...............0.9hrs start to finish!!!!you done good!!!!!! some of the tecs take all day too fit them and i'm not being funny!!! Cheers m8 i'm well pleased with them. I would't hesitate to fit another set or recomend DIY.I should be spraying them tomorrow a quality aerosol from Leonard Brooks is around £13.00. Thanks for the feedbackDarren(morgz)

  15. No I Haven't been to any meets yet. Missed the Ace Cafe just too busy this time of year. I got mine for the missus we had them as a factory fit in our last car & she got used to them. When we got the IS she put it in reverse and it started beeping like it had sensors but the beeps never got quicker when you got near anything she didn't know it was just to let you know you have selected reverse...I did laugh when she told me.. not.
