  1. I've got a gs300 Sport MK1 and think it's about time I had a bit more power. Has anyone had a remap and what kind of results did you get?
  2. I'm sure this has been asked before so please forgive the repetition. I've been hankering after a GS300 for years and I finally bought one a year or so ago. It had to be black and naturally, a Sport. Like all my previous cars, I like to put my own little touches on them. Well all that's done now and I'm now thinking about upping the performance. I've done a fair bit of research and as far as I can tell there's very little that can be done other than a remap. At best, that'll give me an extra 40bhp - not bad but I'm looking for more than that. I'm therefore thinking of the twin turbo route. Now and again you see twin turbo Aristo Mk1's going for around the £2k mark which makes me think that buying one and swapping it all over MAY be the way to go? However, it's beyond my own capabilty to do it myself. Do any of you guys know of anyone who's had it done? Was it a drama or relatively straightforward? And I guess the $64k question - how much was it to get it done? I suspect that you may advise me to sell my GS300 Sport and just go out and buy an Aristo instead. Yep, I could do that but I've spent a fortune on my car and to be honest it's now almost perfect. All new suspension - including uprated springs and dampers, fuel lines, custom made stainless exhaust, new discs, calipers, pads etc. etc. etc. I even had all the walnut fittings repolished. So it obviously wouldn't make financial sense to possibly go through all that again! Thanks and appreciated in advance for any help and/or advice.
  3. I've just had mine done at this place http://www.mijexhaust.com/mij-exhaust-contact.html Custom made in 304 stainless. £385 fitted! Have you got any pics of the system? No unfortunately - should have taken my camera!! They made a lovely job of it though and includes a full lifetime guarantee.

  5. Thanks chaps. I've already got stainless back boxes so it's the rest that I'd like to get done. I may be wrong but I think that a custom stainless job is going to work out cheaper than an HKS/Bltz system. If anyone know a company that can do a pucker job then please let me know.
  6. Can anyone recommend a decent stainless exhaust system, where from and how much it's likely to be to fit a GS300 Sport MK1? I don't want to go to the expense of any kind of Blitz, HKS type thing though - they'll definitely be over my budget. I'm based in Hertfordshire/Essex borders. Thanks in advance. Jem
  7. They'll come up on Ebay now and again but the 10's are VERY rare. The Supra boys love 'em so you'll be bidding against them as well if and when you do see some. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the 10's were 'standard'.
  8. I took my GS300 Sport MK1 there at the weekend and they were superb. Thy're also affilliated with Japarts!! I thought the customer lounge was a little bit different to say the least. Plenty of magazines to read but 95% of them were in Japanese as was what was being shown on the TV. Most of the customers were Japanese and about 50% of the staff! I went there for a quote to replace the fuel lines - they're completely corroded. Unfortunately its a pretty big job - the diff has to be dropped to get the lines from the tank done. While I was there, I also asked them to sort out the tracking as I'd just had the ball joints done. They've got all the hi-tech laser stuff there and it showed that the castor and camber were absolutely MILES out. Took them 3 hours to loosen everything off and sort out but only charged me the standard cost of £65. So, if you want a reputable company that knows exactly what they're doing at very reasonable rates I can highly recommend these guys!
  9. Why are things that you think are going to be relatively simple turn out to be a drama? Got in touch with Envy and they no longer supply the springs. Lexus dealers are struggling! I found these on Ebay that MIGHT do the trick. They're 35mm lowering springs for the GS300. So, would I be correct in assuming that they would then be right for the Sport? Was the Sport lowered by 35mm over the standard gs300? http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vie...e=STRK:MEWAX:IT
  10. Hi Chaps, took my GS300 Sport MK1 in for a service (it's first since I boought it a few weeks back) and a few problems became apparent. The fuel lines are absolutely shot! Now I guess that Lexus replacements are going to be VERY expensive so can anyone point me in the right direction for an alternative supplier? Also, the rear springs need replacing so if you could help me out on that one as well it would be greatly appreciated!
  11. I need quite a bit doing on my GS300 Sport MK1. Service and cambelt being just two of them. I don't want to go the Lexus dealer route for obvious reasons so I was wondering if anyone knows of a mechanic or garage that you'd be happy to leave your pride and joy with. I live in Hertford. Thanks and appreciated for any help!
  12. Yep, hadn't thought of that actually. Strange how you don't see the bloody obvious sometimes Cheers!!
  13. Well at that kind of money I might as well by an old GS300 on Ebay, take out what I need and then throw it away :D Thanks for all your help chaps!!
