  1. Totally agree with you couldn't have said it any better and furthermore we seem to be over relying on technology where common sense should prevail(another thing that is increasingly in short supply)😊
  2. As the saying goes, cheap is not always cheerful, had my suspicions as soon as I saw the price, have used my local garage for the last 20 years and will continue to do so 😊
  3. Yes definitely better and goes along with the dash trim, happy days 😊
  4. what sort of service did they do please if you don't mind telling, what exactly did they change?
  5. Yes and its been around for years,I always think they have something to hide or are being dishonest or selective in what they include lol 😁
  6. £125 for a full service really??,very much doubt it,will be interesting to know what was done as even a small/minor service ie oil,oil filter, cabin filter roughly comes to that as it is
  7. Same here, had as many as 4 spares when I had my IS200 sport. The aeros as they are called are prone to buckling, although I only had one buckle on me,keep your eye on the bay they do pop up from time to time and if you are lucky someone on here might have one(they are getting pretty rare though and expensive too)
  8. same here, like to me,different and Lexus appeals to me😊
  9. just had a look on the web, they both come up as electrical and are both transmission related,at a guess would probably say not going to be cheap as most things transmission related tend to be expensive
  10. don't know if this helps had a P420 on my IS200 when I had a stainless steel custom exhaust made and fitted,it turned out to be a very small hole in the exhaust(the size of a pin) where it hadn't been welded properly was causing the eml light to come on
  11. leave them in the choice is yours by the way and nobody else's 😁
  12. Dogg442,not going to take your bait I just said it as I see it,won't be saying anymore more on the issue, fact is where then do you draw the line,in an ideal world yes but sadly we don't live in one,you give the average person a yard and he takes a mile 😊
  13. just to throw a spanner 🔧 in the works would you leave a set of spark plugs in your car for 10 to 12 years assuming it takes that long to cover 60,000 miles?
  14. I second that orange 🍊 over white 😊
  15. your guess is as good as mine, however when I wanted to change the battery 🔋 on my IS200 years ago I got my garage to order one from Toyota in Northampton and guess what turned up - a Panasonic battery.I have only recently replaced the Panasonic one on my IS 250 f sport with a Yuasa one(also a Japanese battery)
  16. doog442,what do you expect lol 😁,like I said before a 6 year old battery 🔋 is past is best how much more a nine year old one, best changed for peace of mind 😊
  17. A simple guideline would be to change your battery after 6 years just to be on the safe side as most batteries are past their best by then anyway, always better to be safe rather than sorry and a lot less hassle 😊
  18. To be honest with you I don't think you have anything to worry about,I usually change my batteries on average every six years as by then they are past there best, the battery 🔋 in my Lexus IS250 was checked last year and was okay and passed the drop test, however as I only did a thousand miles between last year and this, went to start it about 6 weeks ago and it was a bit sluggish and the next time wouldn't start,so I had to use a jump pack to start it.Took it down my garage and had them test it and it came up bad and replace,so had it replaced, hope this helps 😊
  19. yes its normal,I have 225's on the front and 255's on the rears of my f sport, apparently it's for better traction and handling, although if you want to you could go for 225's all round but not 245's,hope this helps.Furthermore being a rare wheel drive l don't think you gain anything from swapping or rotating the fronts to the rears😊
