Standard practice in parts of Italy.

I've used water from a water butt for years. No problem with bits in the water as the outlet is a couple of inches above the bottom, dirt sinks & leaves etc float - you get clean water from in between. Clean it out once a year and fit a hoselock connector instead of the tap - you can then run a pressure washer if its below the level of the outlet. Rain water is also softer than tap water.

I believe its under the rear parcel shelf.

Using them for speed enforcement is new. I'd be interested to know how much of the network they plan to cover like this. The M42 trial is about 10 miles.

A bit of caution advised, I wouldn't be surprised if this is one of the Governments standard 'leak something really bad and the punters will be happy when we introduce something only half as bad' schemes. This also assumes that they can get it working, the government record with introducing big IT systems is not good (Child Benefit, Income Support, Passports, Swanage air traffic ... ). The article does refer to the DVLA database being in a bit of a state. Still doesn't sound good, you'll spend all your time watching the speedo.

Wasps. Friend of mine came got rid of a nest in his place by mounting a fan blowing across the front of the entrance hole. They could get out but not back in. He left it going for a few days until the wasps stopped coming out then blocked the hole up. Good bit of lateral thinking I thought.

I don't think it matters where the images / video are stored. The MD5 hashcode is used to verify that the evidence have not been tampered with. As the hashcode can theoretically be changed, there is no way of proving validity in court. They'll fix this by using another system - looks like it will delay things for a while though.

Monaro's used to be a bit chav when I was younger. Plenty of power & torque but the live axle and leaf springs meant axle tramp was terrible off the line and they were lethal at the first corner. The new ones are quite nice & handle well. There are some good mods for them too on Australian web sites - superchargers, suspension etc plus the engine, nothing sounds like an iron block V8. Dollars / laugh however one of these would be worth a look if they sold them here. Nearly the same engine spec and very tail happy. Plus you can get more sheep in the back than a Ferrari.

Assuming they test it and don't just rubbish it in the 'News' section, script will be : 1. Intro explaining the Lexus / Toyota connection. Mention small market share in Europe compared to Germans & Jaguar. 2. 30 secs slagging off the current IS including as many Alan Partridge references as possible. 3. Cursory review of looks, performance etc. Half of the time will be spent on some small detail like the shape of the ashtray or the way the light switch works. 4. Conclusion. Not as good as a B*W 3 and final Alan Partridge comment. As noted by others, entertainment only.

Lexus dealers have them :winky: Its fairly basic though - no colours, trims, prices etc. Most of the info is on the Lexus UK website although there are a few new bits. Proper brochure is due nearer to release.

No spring on my '200 either. There is a rubber but it only compresses a few mm before taking the load. I have got about 6mm play in the cable which I'll look at but I don't think there is the improvement suggested for the '300.
