  1. Ken, don't look at the dial on the dash, it doesn't tell you the actual MPG. I just worked out my average for the first 4 months this year is 23.94 MPG. (mixed driving) I am happy with it anyway. An IS is not about MPG, it's about your enjoyment. (Not having a go on you here.) If people going on and on about their MPG, go to get a Diesel focus. I still will do the Slick50 thing for my next service, as I wanted to know if it is a gimmick. Felix
  2. this is a screen shot of part of my log
  3. tell you what guys, I will put myself forward to be the ginnypig shame my last service (60K one) was only 4 month ago, when I do my next service, I will put it in to the oil, and give a month or so, I will report back to your guys. I am keeping a very detailed log of everything happening to my IS, and MPG after each fill-up from day one. Felix
  4. Welcome both! I am sure you will find guys and girls (if there is any) are all very nice and plenty info when you need it. Felix
  5. Nice looking one Jason! just a note to the guys out there Jason got the pipe from the ebay shop which looks nice too, however, it's a bit different from the one I had, if you want the one I had, ask for the "3.5" OEM look with slash-cut" and his may be called " 3.5" Tail pipe outward rolled" Felix
  6. bit off the topic, I noticed a few times when I am parking my car into the garage (slow turning with gentle breaking) I can hear the "click - click - click" noise from the driver side front wheel. I hope this is no the same issue with this post, if not what should I check? many thanks Felix
  7. 1st of all, the battery for the key can be found in most of Locksmiths locally, just pop in and get a new one ASAP. 2ndly, there are quite a few guides on the key issue. you may want to read some of them and copy them to a word, and name them V1 V2 V3..... it's all depends on the year of your car etc etc..... I got 4 keys programmed to my car buy using two different guides on different things a little while ago. Good luck m8
  8. thanks for that mate, which slick 50 did you use? add a link if you can pls, I had a look on the slick50 website, got bit confused...... he he he he Felix
  9. Hiya mate, I am sorry to hear that. I read your last a few posts re this. still not sure what kind of noise was it.
  10. are you saying you can get 400+ for the tank mate?????? My baby returns me 350 MAX for the full tank on motorway runs. will look into this..... anyone has any experience on this? Felix
  11. 70/(20/1.2/4.55)=19.11 MPG for local run around normal mate Felix P.S. LEXYNIK what is this slick 50 business? bit more details pls, compare the before and after for me

  13. Kam mate, I know, that was my 1st IS in 1999.......... I couldn't remember how much, cost of that was only mentioned as one line in the long list of the delivery invoice. Felix
  14. Kam mate, for a tenner, I am happy. the OEM accessories is discontinued ages ago, and they were 50+VAT if I remember. Felix
  15. here we go, sorry it's bit dirty, I had to go to London on Sunday night to drop something to my mum's. you can see the original is bit shorter in the last Pic.
  16. I love the OEM 5 spoke wheels in 18''. he he he......
  17. yes, it is just "sliding" over your pipe, it has 1.5mm clearance either side. yes it is "slash" cut, top is 20mm longer than the bottom. The old M-I-J is running by the "I" - brother at the old place, it even has a bay of E shop called "midlands exhausts". The M and J moved few units down the road, I believe they are in the same business. Felix
  18. Hiya mate, Glad it sorted smoothly, wish you had a cheaper coilpack in hand, sounds like I need to get one or two cheap ones. which one has gone? and is there any thing you had noticed before it happened? Felix
  19. Hi guys, Sorry for posting a new one, as I couldn't find the old one I meant to reply to. As promised I went to the old MIJ in Walsall last weekend. MIJ now is split to 3 businesses, 3 brothers are doing the same thing in 3 different units along the same road. got this fitted for £10.... they can do a "screw on" or "welded on" which I have gone for as I am able to bring my car to them. they had to cut 4 already made pipes to make me a perfect one, nice guys! It's 3.5", and I went for 14cm as I wanted to leave a bit sticking out. it should be 12.5cm (top) if you really want the same with the OEM one. anyone likes it you can ring them yourself as I don't want to break any rules. Felix
  20. Jason, have you ordered it???? if not, I am going to see them this Sat to ask them to make me one as I am local to them. I am very fussy guy coming to my car so i will ask for "the perfect" fit. if you want one, let me know. or anyone wants one for their IS.... Felix
  21. they are my next door........ I will pay them a visit this weekend. thanks
  22. thanks for that, but what a shame, I wish I had the good old delayed final wipe is there anyone has the delayed wiper???????? I might have a day dream........ maybe that wasn't my old IS........
  23. hi guys, quick question: on my old IS200 SE (1999) I remember when you push the screen wash thing, the wiper will go 3-4 times and wait 10 secs does another one which gives it a final good clean. but in my current IS SE (2004) it only wipes 3 times and not the last one. just wondering if this is some settings or I maybe having a day dream. Felix
