  1. Thank you for your help. I have been struggling to find the caliper without going to Lexus and taking out a mortgage! I think I will try going the refurb road first. If that fails a replacement it will have to be. Malc re the VSC issue. I never got to the bottom of it. It has behaved itself since my post way back and has not come on again! I suspect a loose connection to a sensor, although I am not sure nor why it now behaves. Of late the water temperature gauge sometimes drops to cold but always seems to sort itself out after a few miles. Again I suspect a loose connection. I will have a good look when doing the caliper.
  2. The rear drivers side brake caliper has seized on my 2002 LS. Where can I get a replacement? Thanks.
  3. Thanks again. I will check out the US forum and see what I can find. When I read this post I went straight out to check on the fuel cap. It was screwed down fully and their are no cracks! So no joy there! I will let you know the out come of my US journey
  4. Phil thanks for the reply I will try and hopefully resolve/fix any issue.
  5. Hi guys I have a similar problem with VSC waring light coming, but in my case it is intermittent. Sometimes when I switch it on the warning comes on other times not. It usually goes one way or the other for about a week and then changes back. No obvious reason. Any suggestions?
  6. Thanks for the replies. Unfortunately the car I was looking at was withdrawn from sale as one of the garage sales staff decided to keep the car for themselves! So the search goes on. I think I will go for a good LS 600H.
  7. Thanks for help. I was a little concerned that as the car aged the hybrid parts would deteriorate - and cost a fortune to repair/replace. The car is for sale from a Toyota (not Lexus ) dealer. They traded it in against a new Toyota. It was not a car previously know to them. I will have to check about any warrenties. All being well on that front I think I will take the car.
  8. Thanks for the comments. No issues with the electrical motors etc? Does the hybrid make it a much better car to drive?
  9. Hi I am considering updating from a LS 400 to a LS 600 H. I have been offered a 2007 model with 85000 miles on the clock. Is there anything that I should look out for? Any advice or thoughts appreciated.
