  1. Happy Birthday flyeris!

  2. Hi, I wanted to inquiry regarding one problem, which I am having for a few months now. Generally I have two problems: 1) When approaching slowly to full stop while braking sometimes ABS activates without reason 2) When pulling off slowly usually traction control activates and limits throttle So, I thought I might have problems with ABS sensors. I have ordered USB cable with Techstream software out of interest to try to debug the problem :) I have tried to read the sensors data while driving slowly and I got readings, which I expected - if driving slowly, both front sensors read 0s and while driving faster, the readings front and back are the same. Has anybody had a similar problem? What could be the reasons behind and how to solve it? I have recently changed a wheel bearing in one of the front wheels, but the problem hasn't changed. I suppose the technician hasn't checked the ABS sensors. Are they hard to remove? I have found a guide on other forum helping to solve a similar problem on other car: http://forums.trailvoy.com/showthread.php?p=1179929 Thanks, Jonas
  3. Thanks, found it as per your instructions :)
  4. Hello, Could anybody advice, where is the fuse for in car cigarette lighter? Thanks, Jonas
  5. Best wishes to everybody :) I am running on LPG more than a year now also. The petrol gauge problem is common and there is nothing wrong with it. It is some smart stuff from Lexus, which assumes that the sensor went wrong (if the petrol level stays the same over time), so the then the petrol gauge moves according to the assumed fuel consumptions, despite the fact that the fuel level is always the same. After resetting the ECU, filling some extra petrol or sometimes randomly the gauge gets back to its real value. All we have to do, is to make sure we have some spare petrol in our tanks :)
  6. Yes - but what's strange with mine, is that it is usually triggered by reversing. I can make several houndreds of kilometers driving straight without getting the error. But it is enought to park the car and then to reverse back to the road, and the error appears. Somehow it doesn't prove the break in the wire theory :S Anyway, who knows...
  7. Thanks for your reply, Igino. Well - the trigger wheel in my case seems to be fine. The serviceman has examined it through the hole, where the ABS sensor is put. It seems to be fine. As with the connector - how many connections are there (any idea?). Where does it go from the wheel? Mine has been unplugged several times, because they had mine uninstalled and reinstalled. P.S. Are poeple from Lexus able to check the values of each sensor on the drive with special OBD?
  8. Also, what is interesting in my case and what would make me think that it could be something else than broken wire, is that the error usally appears, when I am reversing at low speeds and making a turn (like reversing back from the parking place).
  9. Thanks for your input ;) Please let me know in what it will result in your case. If it helps - I will have to do the same with mine. You had broken wires on other cars resulting in similar symptoms?
  10. Hello, I have a problem with my car. After some driving, the TRC OFF starts blinking and ABS light turns on. There are no drivability problems, just traction control system and ABS are turned off. When it started to snow here in Lithuania, it became an actual problem. Driving without ABS in winter time is quite dangerous :) My car has been plugged in and it showed two problems: right front wheel speed sensor possible fault and malfunction of ABS system. Has anybody had any similar problem? Does the swap of the speed sensor solve the problem? The main thing, which concerns me is that the problem is not constant. If I turn off the car and start it again, the error is no longer there until it gets detected. Could it be that the sensor is sometimes working and sometimes not, thus giving the error? Any piece of advice is highly appreciated :) Thanks!
  11. When is it turned on? Does it turn on, when you turn on the rear window heating or point the fans directly at windows? :)
  12. Thanks for your replies, mates! Ormi, the air filter and plugs are changed approxmately 5-6 months ago - iridium NGK plugs and some aftermarket non-OEM air filter. Well, I didn't have my emissions measured yet, but my car seems to smoke much more than any other car ex. standing in the queue at the traffic light :) Also, your car is highly modified. I usually get 18-20 mpg (LPG) in city traffic. Mattc, yes, I am familiar with that fact. But the moment, when the petrol switches to LPG brings some smell of LPG into the cabin. It probably should be because of excessive fuel being brought in. Had anybody did a test with any of these cheap OBDII and saved the falues? Do you remember/can you check the values once idling of Calculated Load Value and Fuel Trim values. I have read one article on the internet, explaining these values, which was very informative. It says, if the Fuel Trim values are positive, it means that the car tries to enrichen the fuel mixture (depending probably on the input from O2 sensors?). http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_qa3828/is_200609/ai_n17191947/
  13. Hello, I assume that I may have a problem with my car as it tends to overfuel?, especially when cold. The symptoms are continuous smoking (not white, nor black, just excessive) and it also seems to consume bit more fuel than any other IS200. Also, I have tried to read the OBD results (have done that when idling on petrol and fully warm) and some of the results are worth mentioning: The values, which conern me are: * Calculated Load Value (I have read that it should be 10-20% and mine is 35%! when idling with lights off) * All Fuel Trim values are positive values, which means that the system thinks that it is running lean and is trying to enrichen the fuel/air mixture. Any ideas, what might be wrong and where to start checking? Anybody can confirm that my Calculated Load Value is higher than normal? Thanks in advance, Best regards, Jonas
  14. Same here. It doesn't happen in any other occasions.
  15. I have also fitted leather/elecantra electric seats from the RHD car to the LHD (I had manual cloth seats with heating). I had to cut all wires and to make new connectors to fit both seats inside. Also, there were no positive wires available, so I decided to make it a bit easier and take some current from the wires going to cigarette lighter. I have heard that seats powered like this are a bit slower than wired directly to the battery, but in my mind, they are Ok :) Also, the seats won't move without ignition on. Hope it helps. P.S. Only one problem remains - there is always blinking light that the passenger is not wearing a seat belt even if there is nobody sitting on the seat, if the seat belt is not secured.
