  1. Thanks Dylan Doesnt seem to be doing it lately, but then again it is quite warm!!! Regards
  2. Thanks steve I have the original Lexus matts that clip into the carpet. am going for vanish carpet foam and a normal dash/sill plastic ray thing. If its something i can do in 20 minutes once a week then there shouldnt be a build up of hard to remove dirt etc, but will keep all posted.
  3. Cheers guys, So i will check: Boot (i know this had an issue before i bought it that should of been resolved by dealer) Front foot wells, Rear foot wells, Rear parcel shelf by screen. Anywhere else? only happening predominantly on the front screen/passenger windows Regards
  4. Does this happen to everyone else? As soon as the car warms up and i have the climate control set to 20C normally, the windscreen and side windows start to steam up REALLY quickly? Found myself not using climate control because ive constantly got the windscreen demister on!!! Help appreciated
  5. Brilliant!!! Vanish for carpets and meguirs for everything else. Thank you very much :)
  6. Driving rather exuberantly towards/onto the M6 this morning around 8am?
  7. Thanks Janey Im not so much fussed about the seats as they dont get that dirty (that i know of yet, iv eonly had in 5 days) Ig uess what im after is, All plastics / dash / sills / doors etc - can i either use wipes or just and easy spray on cleaner that wipes off with a lint free cloth Seats / Carpets - do they just need a darn good hoovering or is their again something simply i can just spray on, leave to do its work, then skim over with a hoover? If theres a quick effective way of cleaning it all then id prefer that one, not through lazyness but i tend to lose interest in cleaning so the quicker it is the more likely i am to continue doing it :) Links to products (use halfrauds if you like) would be really appreciated Regards
  8. Hi, IVe spent a bit of time reading through the topics in this sub-forum but couldnt find what im after (i did only look quick cus im at work) Whats the best way to clean a cloth interior, carpets etc etc? Ive notived the IS has quite high sills on entering/exiting the car and keept getting mud all over the plastic sill covers. would like to keep this baby clean as ive not really cared for my other cars (seems to be a trend in this sub-forum :) ) Cheers
  9. Hi, the EGR valve is not cleaned as part of the major / interim service or MOT. Lexus will clean it if asked, however, there is a how to here if you want to DIY. Alternatively take it to a trusted independent garage, shouldnt cost you a lot. http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=64978&st=0&p=707644&fromsearch=1entry707644 Hi Guys, Thanks for all the replies, i have since this post read up on the EGR DIY clean, may take it to a local independant and bung em £20 or something, i know the garages round here quite well. MPG seems to be hovering above the 30mpg mark for now, even saw 39mpg yesterday going coventry. Other than that though the car seems fine. Ive seen others attribute serious turbo lag with EGR issues and no power below 2000rpm etc. I dont seem to have this, power is plentiful from just over 1000rpm. Will keep plugging away, get the EGR cleaned and go from their. Not expecting miracles, nor miracle MPG cus it is a 2.2 after all, but would like to be in touching distance of the qouted figures lol
  10. Hi thanks for that, yeh ive read about the egr valve, its on 66k miles but just had a big service and brand new mot, would it of not been cleaned during this? Tbf the smoke isnt bad a is intermittent, only get a puff o smoke every now and again usually when its cold i took it to brum early so did a 60 mile round trip, hovering between 80-90mph in 6th gear and averaged 36mpg seems to be very hit n miss lol
  11. Iknow a 2.2 diesel aint gunna be great, but i cant get it above 28mpg???? Really annoying me now :-( bought diesel for bettereconomy anyone else have this issue??
  12. Ah cheers, will have a lookout for them, Was going for the Phillips blue vision if nothing else
  13. I thought that HID bulbs were v. expensive. I was quoted 190 quid from Lexus! Searching the t'internet the cheapest (philips which I believe Lexus use) were about 50 quid from Germany. Read that the cheap china ones were useless. HID bulbs to fit in to the OEM lights of the Sport and SE-L models are expensive, but retro fit HID kits to convert normal halogen headlights found in the S and SE models are quite cheap nowadays. Thanks guys, I dont really want the HID kit, not only due to expense but i dont really want to be adding after market stuff if possible. Brighter bulbs will do me, not after the "Blue" effect ones, not to my personal taste. I guess at £23 for a set of super brights i cant go far wrong, and if i dont like them its not an expensive change
  14. Hi Guys, Im picking up my IS220D on thursday from Lexus Coventry and want to upgrade the bulbs and cant be bothered with a HID kit etc etc What would you guys recommend? Halfords doe the "super brilliance" range, apparently 90% better than standard and use Xenon gas technology, but this is all new to me!! Cheers
