I'm experiencing the same type of problem i have had all my coil packs change and my car still cuts out I'm going to bite the bullet and take it into Lexus this morning to diganose standard charge is £100 in lexus Woodford in london !!!! no choice

cheers dude i had that problem last year so new head gasket£££ new radiator £££ 6 new coil packs ££££ and the bloody thing is still giving me grief !! my mechanic is bewilder and as a last result we will need to book and drive into lexus to get the diagnostic !!! which will cost me

Hi i'm experiencing exactly the same problem as you i have replace 4 of the 6 coil packs and it still cutting out my mechanic is convinced its not the coil pack and i have been told it could be the camshaft sensor cutting out the engine ? we are now looking at booking the car into lexus south woodford or south end to get it checked out !!!

i have had engine misfiring and replaced the coil plug now the system managment light flashes up and the trc come on then when i switch radio on it cuts the power dead !!! its a 1999 is 200 se and beginning to spent lots of money do i give up this love and buy a benz ? any help before i scrapp it lol

I have had the knocking noise for as long as i can remember i fixed my leaking ball joint but prior to that went into ATS for a free check on my shock and the mechanic eventually found stones rattling on top of my petrol tank when the tank is full the noise subsides when empty noise magnified !!! :D :winky:

Funtime Phil yeah the speedo to start of with and wait for the confidence to build up then i'll try some more bits a pieces of mods :winky:

Guy how do you go about changing the panel light to LED blue is it a simple change/ mod ? this will be my first attempt will also do the emblem that looks easy

Did the engine mgmt system warning light come on ? check your radiator for leaks check there are no leakis into the engines coz that will lead to head gasket and thats expensive !!1

Thanks for the quick reply my main problem is the key housing its cracked so all the key baldes are ok just the housing that need replacing ? my master key is fine just my two spares are mullard at the moment ;)

I now have three !!! broken car keys what it my best option of replacing them ? or is it a Super glue job ? mind you the inner casing has cracked bloody MOT center !!!!

Both TRC and Engine management lights were flashing on dash this morning.Was recover and the AA mentioned head gasket ?? this appears to be a syptom with the IS200 ? I intrested to hear how people have recovered there vehicles ,where and obvoiusly how much ?? 2 points i have picked up from this forum ************************* 1)coil pack 8********************** 2)Just out of curiosity I borrowed the rad. cap from wife's car and BINGO no leakeage. I then examined my pressure cap and found a minute nick in the rubber seal. All is ok now with new cap. Lesson----if you have your coolant checked for possible head gasket blown and the mechanic says " oh yes sir definatetly exhaust in the coolant, that will be £1200 to skim and replace " GET SECOND OPINION and examine your pressure caps minutely They only cost £10 or so i wonder if anyone can give me an update on ther findings
