  1. I had a 1998 740i for 3 years prior to the GS, now we have another child I would like the extra room again.
  2. I am thinking of chanigng my GS430 Sport for something a little bigger, just tring to get an idea of a private sale price. It is a 2001/Y GS430 Sport with the DVD Navigator (Wide Screen). Plantium Ice with Black Leather. 81,000 with Full Lexus history (Just had the 80K service). Security Glass, Twin Rear 7" screens with 10 disc DVD, TV on Nav, Rear Parking sensor. Interior Condition is excellent, Exterior is very good. Is around £12K fair?
  3. ScarFace, I brought the original one from the converters.tv guys over a year ago and it is still working a treat. :-) Look like it has been cleaned up a bit since I brought mine, I just have a raw PCB with soldered wires. One thing to remember is that you will still have to install a relay and cut in to the wiring loom of the NAV system. http://www.converters.tv/products/converte...erters/139.html Duncs
  4. Colin, Yes it was fed with 50Hz Pal from my DVD Changer. If you would like to see the quality drop me a pm and we can met up and demo. Cheers
  5. Well guys, I received the PAL/NTSC video to NTSC RGB Converter from converters.tv. It appears to be a brand new board which is not yet on their website. Cost is $195USD + shipping. Installed it in 5 minutes and it worked first time :D , perfect picture; no flickering, missing lines etc. I will post some screen shots soon. Worth the wait. Duncan
  6. The guys from converters.tv have just shipped one of the new converters for me to try :) . They are quoting a price of $195USD. Will let know how it goes once it arrives, Should be Tues/Wed next week.
  7. Steve, I have ordered the one from Converters.tv but they have a production issue which has delayed shipment by 2 weeks. I will update you all once it is delivered.
  8. It is produced by AVElectronics in the US. I have spoken to them and it is NTSC only, hence the TV tuner will not work in the UK. Added to that you can only use it with a NTSC DVD player. Full Details They were working on a UK version but I feel they have stopped development.
  9. Colin, Luckly I already have the PSU sorted, left over from my single disc DVD player. As for the switch I was going to use a 4 pole relay controlled from a hidden switch in the front of the car. I think I have worked out the wiring, but any info you have would be great. Keep you all updated with the install. Thanks
  10. There is a new product that has just been added to converters.tv designed for in car use. The description is as follows: Our new model, the NTSC / PAL to NTSC RGB Sync Converter is highly suitable for installing PAL systems into NTSC monitors, solving a common problem in imported cars from Japan and the USA. News Item Full Info And at £78.64 (+ shipping) looks to be a bargin. I am going to order one tomorrow, anyone have any comments? or ordered from them before?
  11. Just though I would share this with everyone, sorry if it has already been posted but I could not find it anywhere. After much searching I have found the Mobile Phone Mute wire on a GS with DVD Nav......located in the boot! If you remove the large rear section of the boot lining, on the right hand side (just by the top of the shock) there is a large 16pin inline connector. This is designed to plug into the factory phone (An £800 option) as it also carries the rear drivers side speaker cable, which with a simple relay could be used for the phone. The mute wire is located on the socket and is coloured Blue with thin orange stripe Hope this helps, Duncan :)
  12. Rodders_UK / Anyone who can help, Please can you also send the audio wire diagram to me (duncan@rolfe.co.uk). Quick question.... Is the output from the CD changer single or balanced? Is it a simple as installing a switch inline with out audio output of the cd changer to take sound from a MP3 player? Thanks Duncan
  13. I have just tested the smaller connector with 3 pins and they are the following: GND, +5v & +12v controlled by the ignition. Any one have any idea on the 8pin connector?
