  1. Hello ... I have had a timing belt replaced. but on the attempt to take the bolt off , the mechanic broke in internal part of the harmonic balancer, and also a few teeth of the timing gear........ Unfortunately in lexus they do not have it in stock and they will have it in 20 days time. Car's performance is bad does not rev over 2700 rpm, and cannot go over kmph I have looked on the web and I could only find the is 300 part number.... can you tell me if it is also good foor the is 200? Many thanks! lexus is timing gear.webp
  2. Hello dear members. Recently after having my injectors replaced, there was a issue with the fuel damper. The screw was loose, it was held from falling by the cap. We screed it in but not knowing if we did right or wrong we di screw it all the way in. but it did not screw in strait ..... the engine light came on and result was rich fuel mix.... I would like to replace it , and seems like it is not very easy to find. DO you think it is possible to make a modification and swap it for a fuel presseure regulator? In one of the photo's you will also see the oilm filter relocation..... saves lots of time for replacement!!! 🙂 please let me know your opinions thank you.
  3. Thank you very much for this information. To answer Steve... I am an Australian living in Italy. Here parts aren't cheap so buy spares from autodoc.com. some parts also from UK and japan.... all in all, a nice car, pity that the italian gov and the Eu do not allow engine conversions....
  4. Hello Dear Members. I have had a lexus is 200 since 2010. In 2018 have had the exhaust valves and seats, and piston rings replaced. Soon will have to replace the timing belt , and also the camshaft and crankshaft seals. I have never replaced the crankshafts seal and it is leaking enough, but I have difficoulties in finding the camshaft bolt, which has to be replaced every time it is unbolted. Does anybody know if I can use instead a different steel bolt? will it be a problem?
  5. Hello. I have an is 200 running on lpg, have had the engine rebuild since the idle was so bad, like if it was running on 3 cylinders. When the engine was opened , in cylinder numerb 2 there was a damaged exhaust valve, . HAve replaced em all , new , also new piston rings, and cylinder hear overhauled. The engine runs smooth on petrol and lpg, but there is a problem with the throttle body, it kinda gets a fault when I give full throttle. TRC light come blinking on as well as the engine light. Have tp turn the engine off restar it and be careful not to push the accelerator pedal too much. Anyway problem is either on lpg or petrol. It is sad that after all the money I spent I still have a faulty car. Have swapped the trottle body, and problem is the same... Codes are: P1128 :Throttle control, engine locking P0120:circuit switch A sensor pedal / butterfly, malfunction P0121:Switch circuit A sensor is pedal / butterfly position, field / performance problem accelerator pedal position sensor any Ideas now? Thanks
  6. by it from usa in ebay 78 $ i have seen 1 yesterday
  7. hi i have been running on LPG with no flashlube and so far so good 50000 kilometres
  8. Hello , to everyone. I am John and own a lexus is 200 . A few years ago I have had an LPG system installed. Runs ok some misfires time to time, but never had a real problem. I hate the fact that when i am running on LPG,the petrol indicator goes down as if i was using petrol!!! so i do not know exactly how much fuel there is in the fuel tank. is there a way to go arounf the problem? What do you think about the flash lube is it really good? I do not have it installed and have done something like, 50000 km so far. Any advice? Thanks to you all!
  9. Hello everybody, I am the owner of an Is 200 model and want to relocate the oil filter due to the restricted area where it is fitted. I have found some oil relocations kits and want to know if someone has fitted them on thir is 200. Has someone also fitted an oil radiator as well? Let me know very soon thanks FoxMulder
  10. Hi I own an is 200 who has a Stargas with 6 injectors sequential injection system. It runs ok, sometimes get a misfire, but it ain't that bad. I have read all your postes and got a little scared. I live in italy use car every day. that damned fuel indicator goes down and up when remembers it still has petrol in the tank..... It has no flash lube, from april o today have done 20000 km. Have just fitted a K&N air filter, but didn't see much difference besided my wallet. Have had the timing belt changed together with iddler and tensioner and also the water pump(240 Euro) a robbery... Was done at a Lexus dealer. If I knew would have buyed em on ebay, and saved money, all costed me 640 Euro's.
  11. Hello, I have converted my is200 on LPG with a stargas sequential injectuon sistem, and runs well. I did not put a flashlube. In the beginning every time i finished gas and automaticly switched itself to petrol, the engine light turned on and when we wnet to analyse the problem with the diagnosis reader, it said the prob was lean gas.....meant that in the fraction of second the lambda probe has sent that information to the mainframe. so i just keep going on with that engine light on ..... For the flash lube is it a must?
  12. I have made it work, but the sound is not as good as it was with the original radio, and plus i hea r a strange noise like if the stereo wasn't shielded... Just 1 last question, the wires we have seen up there, do you know wich is for the front right channel speaker, front left, rear right and rear left? there are 4 colors white red blue and black, but my radio has only 2 rca outputs...how would you do? mix red and blue, white and black together?
  13. dose it have fuses or anything in it? alos do all 4 your rear speakers work? anyone tried to wire up an after market system onto the origional amp? This is how I have wired in a head unit using the existing amp. Head unit will need front and rear pre-outs though. Not had any probs. yet and sounds good. Hello , I own an is 200 and have taken off the original radio with one i have. I have seen the picture and analyzed how i must connect the wire....but ouch, i did connect them but that crazy amplifiermakes a noise......like A COW. even if i don't turn on the new radio. And by the way, where can i find the negative wire for the nerw radio since i don't know where to look ? any advice will be accepted thank you!
