  6. This one has been a total loss at some time. I know if they are repaired properly but they will always carry that stigma. Mike
  7. Got 275k on the clock but its got to be worth that for the wheels alone although pictures can lie. Plenty of pictures but all the same. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Lexus-LS400-1995-LPG-4-0litre-V8-/271156842006?pt=Automobiles_UK&hash=item3f22350e16 Mike
  8. I have been looking since I bought my LS nearly 3 years ago for an English edition but haven't ever seen one until earlier this week when out of the blue there is one on Ebay £8 incl P&P she arrived today. I opened it nervously expecting a copy one to fall out but low and behold its a genuine one and from the look of it has never been read. Dated October 1998. The wife thinks I have reached a new level of Lexus worship especially when she saw me smell the brochure.................................Well! you know you would have done the same. Inside the brochure the main car used is in the same livery as mine dark green with a beige interior. Happy days. Mike
  9. I agree with the curtain wire method, after seeing posts before and having my old Ls400 suffer a leaky rear end. Couple of quid from local hardware dealer and a bit of fiddling, wasn't the fix for me as the drains were clear. The sunroof rear drain holes are the hardest to get to from the top as they are at the back corners of the sunroof and you have to feel your way with the wire, the fronts are easy enough, they are in the front corners. Word of caution, don't go like a bull at a gate, easy prodding to save on causing damage. As to where they come out under the car i cannot say. Is water in the center part where the spare wheel sits ? Not sure what to say as to where the water is getting in, could be as a result of the blocked tubes or leaking through bottom of screen area, just have a good look about for water trails, they usually leave a sign. "suffer a leaky rear end" Can there be a more antisocial problem ??????? Mike

  12. Hi Stericker The battery is I think you will find is just to keep the memory going so you don't keep losing the memory settings. Mine is wired into the cigarette lighter, I didn't do the job but its easy enough to do by lifting the center console, they only charged me for an hours labour. Glad your happy with it. Mike
  13. Mine is the same as your but the only ones I have ever seen are ont tinternet. I love the colour especially once she is all cleaned up and gleaming. You need sunglasses to look at her if you don't want your eyes damaged. Mike
  14. If only we knew then what we know now. The directors must have the full set now from BCA 1 to BCA10, we see them all the time around here from Blackbushe BCA Mike
  15. It may be just a case of chancing their arms in the hope of getting someone to pay over the odds. I have bought this type of batteries in the past for little money and they are perfectly OK. It does make you think there must be something wrong with all the cheaper ones. Mike
  16. Sorry I cant help you without Sat TV. Mike Murdochs shower demanded I send my dads death certificate before they'd cancel his subscription - they'll never see a penny of my money. I would feel the same. Mike
