  1. IS your foot on the gas pedal steady? Does this surge in acceleration happen by itself, and how much of an acceleration do you get?

  3. Maybe get more help with your posts in the IS250 section..
  4. This is sad times! Only me and Chris left reppin' the 'Old School' class!! :( But no doubt you will enjoy the new Lexus! :)
  5. Find the fault code description online first and then you can let us know what it says so we can work from there
  6. Are you talkingabout the original Lexus stereo? Any photographs to help support
  7. Yes it's ok to clean throttle body whole on the car, everyone I know does that. I'm not sure about the map sensor to be honest, past my knowledge that is.
  8. Has the engine management light come on at all? I'm no mechanic so wouldn't like to guess. If it was me I would try and clean everything possible, throttle body, air filter, use bottle of cataclen, and you say you have done a service, did that include spark plugs? Check all earths and battery. Might be none of those things but it won't harm you trying.
  9. run wires from the ignition barrel, i'm sure that's how I did it.
  10. So much more I need to update on the car since 2013 including refurbed wheels, sound deadening, new amps and speakers all round and more. Quick break down of the story still to come. Nearly 6 years of ownership and still happy.
  11. Mike, you know me weve met a few times in the past. All I did was display what I thought without any insults thrown. But it seems that andyk134 has taken too much salt on this and has resorted to try and offend me to boost his own wiltered ego. It's fine, as I am grown up enough not to throw an insult nor will I retaliate to his insults towards me. Slightly shocked he isn't a bit more mature a person of his age. What I am saying is true and people who are buddies with these 'money hungy' folk will lay the gauntlet in defence to their name! PS Not trolling. Good day :)
  12. I'm no mechanic, but most people know one. If a person sourced all the parts he is selling in this kit they would save quite a lot, even after paying someone to fit it, would still save a lot. But I notice now people are just out to make money out the rest of us, whereas years ago people would help each other on sourcing parts so they could save money. All about greed!
  13. Have you still got all the parts?
  14. It is chep, ish, would be a lot cheper if you sourced the parts yourself. I'm not convinced on the actual turbo, there are better out there.
  15. You may get a few £££ more selling private. Would I go from a Lexus to a Mercedes.... Not a chance. Buy another Lexus
  16. Quite hard to guess what the knocking noise is, I have the same sort of problem, front end is just knocking when I drive at any speed. I've already had new drop links, lower ball joints and track rod ends. So i'm thinking it could be shock, bushes or top ball joints.
  17. Maybe good for some garden activities..
  18. Ok how about I take the bull by the horns and start a meet thread and see who is interested then we can look at dates and locations.
  19. Buy an OBD II scanner and plug it in, see if it gives you any codes. If it does give you codes, enter the codes into google search and it will let you know what each code means. Once you have the codes you can decide whether it's something you can fix yourself or take to a garage. If you don't get any codes when you plug in the scanner I would get a specialist to come out and have a look for you.
