  1. Hi I have had fitted for the last 2 winters Hankook I*cep evos and have found them to be very good, espcially for the price. I live in rural Lincolnshire down a single track road which does not get gritted and have had absolutely no problems this winter despite lots of ice and considerable snow. The good thing about the tyres is that they a V Rated as well unlike many winter tyres that are only H or T rated. I have done around 18,000 miles on this set so far and they still have around 6mm of tread left so should do another winter or possibly 2.
  2. I live in rural Lincolnshire and have to drive a few miles before I can get to treated roads so have winter tyres fitted. The road at the moment is sheet ice covered in snow and I have absolutely no proplems with the Lexus, in fact drove to the nearest village last night for a pint and one of the regulars was surprised I had made it, he had spun his fiesta and nearly got stuck on the road near my house the same day and he does know how to drive. So if you need to be able to use your car in poor conditions winter tyres is the way to go.
  3. Had this problem with mine not long after buying it. Car was out of warranty and had done about 64,000 miles. Had AA come out to it and the fault was read as a problem with the EGR. Car went to Lexus Nottingham and even though it was out of warranty Lexus fixed it which consisted of the engine being rebuilt including new pistons, new EGR, cat and supplied with a courtsey car for 3 weeks while it was done and all done for no cost to myself. The car was not bought form a Lexus dealer so all in a good result. Car has now done 95,000 miles and still seems ok but do take it for a regular run at high revs to try and keep it clean.
  4. First year with the Lexus and looking at getting winter tyres. Have been trying to buy some Lexus 16" wheels but not managed to get any yet for IS220D does anyone know if wheels of IS200 fit or if not what size winter tyres would fit my exisiting wheels, current tyre size is 225 45 17 front and 245 45 17 rear?
