  1. thanks thought as much ut wanted to double check before telling my friend what to do. going off topic now but got another question and you seem to be the one helping out at mo so. 2jyze engine, cambelt change. removed fine, timed up fine, new belt on fine but when i tighten the tensioner up, it seems to move the crank 1/2 tooth the the right. this forcing the timing marks out. cam marks stay where they are just the crank moves ????
  2. yeah sorry forgot to say i told him to take top cam cover off and align the cam marks with notches at back. so with the crank at "0" and the cams aligned up, turn the distributor arm so it aligns up with no.1 and push it in and tighten, then use timing light/gun to get it spot on?
  3. hi guys, im posting on behalf of a friend who has a gs300 2jzge engine. he removed the distributor without marking it up. he wants to know how to refit/time the distributor again. i have told him to mark no.1 on the distributor on the body of the distributor then remove then distributor cap. then turn crank clockwise until pointer on pulley lnes up with "0". this would then mean no.1 piston would be at TDC. then turn rotor arm so it aligns up with no.1 on the cap (where he marked it) and push it in and tighten the securing nut/bolt on the body at that point. is this correct?
  4. got it all back together now. it was pretty straight forwrd really once i put the throttle in place as like you said they all matched up to the pipe/places they go to. dont know why i didnt do that in first place. thanks
  5. thanks for that. yeah i ment the GE engine. ive got most of them sorted just a few little ones. the EGR valve has two pipes coming off it, one goes to egr vaccum mudulator but whats the other. and there a small metal pipe coming off inlet near next to egr whats this one?
  6. (edit, this is a 2jzge enigne not a gte) hi there guys, im new to this forum and would like your help. recently i changed the intake manifold gasket. putting it all back together now and im a little stuck on where all those vacuum pipes/lines go on the intake side of the engine. my brain has stopped working and i can't remember where they go/come from. i know some of them but not all. i should of noted them all down but i didnt so it my own fault :duh: i've taken a few pictures (not the best) and highlighted the ones im stuck on. so i would appirecate any help given help on where they go and/or a few pictures please. thankyou sorry bad pictures. the one on bottom of screen is the long one that runs along the inner wheel arch. the arrow is indicating that it comes from that the blues circles in this one are the one i know of (i think )
