  1. It's an auto steve, I decided to boot it and it seems to change gear around 6200rpm. First 2 gears were fine, went into 3rd over 6000rpm and it misfired with the ECU light. I backed off straight away and the ECU light went out after a few seconds. Read the code set by the ECU light it should be stored in the memory, I take it that it changes gear at much lower RPMs when driven normally? Imports rarely come with a service history so if yours is the same I would give it a full service including Iridium plugs which may eliminate the misfire without further investigation. Not sure if you have the distributor set up or coils over plugs but also replace the ignition components if you have conventional plug leads. The gearbox changes normally when not driven like a ****** off teenager! How do I flash out the codes from the ecu?? The engine has a coil in plug setup, the previous owner was a friend of mine who serviced it not long before I bought it. The service did include new plugs but I don't know what type or gap setting so I will check. I was also thinking that the fuel pump can't keep up??
  2. My Aristo V300 Vertex with 400bhp, test till July: £1500

  4. Hi Tigerfish, its all in here: http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=75463&st=0&gopid=769135entry769135
  5. Cheers, the paint isn't the best but thats no biggy. The only rust on the whole car is at the top of the windscreen, looks like the seal trapped water there. I've treated the area so it doesn't progress.
  6. Since buying my Aristo I signed up to this site and Clubaristo.net, i had no issues signing up on here but as for LOC I cannot complete the registration as the 'nospam' security question always comes back as incorrectly answered. I must have tried 10 times on two seperate computers with the same results. I tried contacting Admin but to sent an email you need to correctly answer the security question Anyone on LOC that could contact admin for me??
  7. Any Aristo owners near Oxford? Never seen another one before
  8. Hey, bought myself a 93' Aristo V300 Vertex been a Vauxhall man previously and I still own two Carltons, but I was offered the Aristo at a price I couldn't resist! It's had a few mods, a FCD, it's been delimited, is running 1 bar of boost via a bleed valve and has an exhaust system (I don't know the make but the previous owner says it's custom - however the pipes are coated mild steel, one peice and mandrel bent so I doubt that) Only issues are a leaking heater matrix which has been bypassed and a misfire at 6k which I have yet to identify.
