  1. The Luxury spec run on 17" rims, there is a big difference in ride and handling. (you might be thinking of the Premier) You will also find the fuel consumption is greater on the 18" rims of the F-Sport.
  2. This is the dash cam. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B012CMUYXQ/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 It has a USB micro port for power on the GPS base and one on the camera to allow you to connect it to a PC to download the video files. I remove the SD cards to copy any files. You are wrong about dash cameras being 12v. Yes, they connect to a 12v supply as that is what the car provides, but you will most likely find that your accessory plug adapter that came with the camera reduces the voltage down to 5v. There is probably a sticker on it showing the power. For anyone piggybacking off a fuse, I do hope you have not just cut the cable from the cigarette plug and wired it straight in. You will eventually kill your dash cam.
  3. Yes, but I don't think the USB sockets give out enough power for devices. The camera I have came with standard USB cables (allow pc connection) so the converter I used was the best option.
  4. I hard-wired a USB power converter like this so the accessory socket is still free.
  5. When you are stopped, press and hold the button for about 10 seconds. It will stay off. Although, annoyingly, the display permanently tells you it is off.
  6. Hey Richard, Can you confirm whether or not you have electric folding mirrors? Do you have a button on the driver door allowing you to fold them in? If so, is there a button next to it labelled 'Auto'? Press this and an little LED will light up. Get out of the car and lock it to see if this works.
  7. 60+mpg is doable, even in the F-Sport. I have a 20 mile commute, back country roads and towns which allows me to use EV quite a bit due to 30mph and 40mph limits. I have reached 63mpg a couple of times, and often average around 55mpg. Longer journeys, cruising on motorways will return 45-55 quite easily. Keep challenging yourself, the mpg will increase.
  8. Richard, if your car does have this function it is activated when you press the 'Auto' button opposite your mirror fold button. This has to be lit. It's a little annoying as every time you manually fold the mirror, you have to remember to set it back to 'Auto'. Hope this helps. Lee.
  9. 24 years of Japanese cars. Nissan 200sx Honda S2000 Nissan 200sx Nissan 200sx Nissan 350 IS250 sel IS300h F sport Never have and never will own a German car.
  10. Hi Mark, I've been a Gold member for a few years now. I think it is worth it for me as I get discounts at my Lexus dealer for parts and services. I have also used the Halfords discount quite a bit. The cost for membership has probably been paid for in savings. I can't say if anyone else has found the same.
  11. My experience of DAB in the IS is OK. I was under the impression that reception is pretty patchy throughout the UK, so I fully expected drop outs (especially in rural areas). The radio is clever enough to sync the DAB and FM signal, so that if DAB signal drops, the FM kicks in. You do notice the difference in audio, but I can live with it until the DAB network is improved.
  12. My 20 mile commute to work is along back country roads and through small villages, ideal for the Hybrid. Some fairly long stretches of 30-40 mph that allows me to coast along in EV. Currently my record high is 62mpg and I constantly get between 50-55mpg (bear in mind I drive the F-Sport). However, on one drive home late at night, I managed my lowest at 24mpg. That took some doing, as if you get stuck behind a slower driver, the economy rockets up! :) On long motorway journeys at 70-75mph I get around 50 - 55mpg. I have found that when driving along roads at 40-45mph you can coast along in EV mode. When you hit 46, it will bring the engine in. That's when the mpg drops rapidly. Economy starts to increase again, up to 70mph. This would explain why you are getting lower mpg than you were expecting. It takes a little while to learn how to drive the Hybrid efficiently. Patience and a very gentle right foot (this also includes the brake pedal) all help.
