  1. Hiya these are grain of wheat bulbs. I ordered a pack of 50 of them from china for about £7. You have to remove the bulb from the holder by untwisting the wire from the holder
  2. Its happened in couple spots but always been in the work car park so must be radio interferance. Ive swapped between all 3 keys and it still happens. Only happens if i park near the offices rather than in the main car park. Rather scary to think that something else is triggering the remote boot unlock
  3. Hi guys, Have an issue with my IS200 which has been bothering me for a while now. Hasn't happened for a good 6 months but today im at work and my boot has randomly popped open. The car is parked opposite my window at work and I look out to see my boot wide open. Nothing missing at all. Has anyone else had this issue of the boot just randomly opening. Hope you guys can shed some light on this. Dean
  4. Hi mate i have used the oven method to split the headlights. Preheat the oven to 110 deg C. Put the headlight in the centre of the oven, leave the headlight in for 15 mins. Remove headlight and gently pry the headlight apart starting at the end opposite the indicator. The corner that would be by the grill. I used a knife to pry the light open.
  5. Yes, the headlight washer, headlight adjustment, rear fog light, heated seats, TRC button are all back lit. Here are the bulbs i replaced mine with: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50-pcs-3mm-Clear-12V-Grain-of-Wheat-Bulbs-mini-bulbs-/400109549026?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item5d286335e2 These unscrew from the switch, once the bulb is out, you have to then un-twist the wire from the bulb holder and remove the bulb, insert new bulb and re-wist the wire around the grooves on the bulb holder. Replace in the switch and plug switch in to see newly lit switches.
  6. Here you go, here's the ebay link: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/50-pcs-3mm-Clear-12V-Grain-of-Wheat-Bulbs-mini-bulbs-/400109549026?pt=UK_Trains_Railway_Models&hash=item5d286335e2
  7. Hi guys, I had this issue with mine, the buttons for the heated seats, TRC, headlight level, headlight washers and rear fog had all blown. These are grain of wheat bulbs, I ordered 50 from ebay from china for £7, ok these take couple weeks to get here to the UK but much cheaper than going to auto accessory shop. The grain of wheat bulbs un-twist from the bulb holder itself and then you can pull the bulb out, slide new bulb in and re-twist the wire in place, sorted. I done all my bulbs for £7, when auto accessory shop was charging £1.50 a bulb. OK I havent done the heater controls as these wasn't blown but I've already opened it up and they are the same type of bulb, so the same principle applys.
  8. I did this couple years back, converted my dials to white, i ordered the bulbs from www.crazyleds.co.uk hope this helps people.
  9. Hi Kenny, Yes it will fit as I got an auto dimming mirror from a GS300 and fitted it to my IS200, although the mounting arms are different. You have to take your existing mounting arm off the normal mirror and then take the auto dimming mirror apart to swap them over. Once you have done this the mirror will twist straight on and you just need to extend the wiring from the red and black cables on the mirror and wire them to a positive and negative to the sun roof switch. 10. I've grabbed the photo's off my work phone. These were downloaded from another site. Hope these help you out.
  11. Just to clarify you are talking about the rear door glass triangle section
  12. Sorry mate I know I've got it stored on my work phone, its been manic today and I haven't had a chance to go out to the car to get the phone. Will upload the pics in just over 40 mins when im back from lunch.
  13. I have got the how to guide to replacing the triangular pane of glass in the rear door. I would have tried to explain what your asking for a little clearer so that you can get the correct help you are looking for. Give me 5 mins to find the info and i'l post it up.
  14. Hiya guys, Sorry I meant to update this post but completely forgot, I have now resolved the P0420 EML problem I had. Turned out the main cat needed to be replaced. Thank you for your advice. All very much appreciated.
  15. I would have checked the mounting brackets before buying it mate, that way you would have known if you going to have issues fitting it. Have you thought about tigerseal glue and couple of screws on the under side so you wont see them.
  16. Are you talking about the front TRD splitter? If so, mine was bolted onto the original bumper, there should be mounting lugs on the splitter in the middle and 1/4 of the way in from the sides. When I had mine fitted holes were drilled in the bumper to bolt the splitter in place.
  17. Just seen your reply, sorry havent logged in since I sent you his number. Glad he's got what your after mate. Glad I could help.
  18. I've seen a few sellers on ebay selling the front lip at like £200, give your local lexus dealer a call, i was surprised how cheap the front splitter was, seeing the prices of front splitters on ebay then phoning lexus direct, i saved £50 by going to the dealer. But then again, others I spoke to said to me that I got the new rear bumper and TTE splitter very cheap so I suppose its pot luck. Have you tried giving Ricky a call, he's a Lexus breaker, only breaks IS200/300's in the birmingham area, thats who I got the TTE bumper/splitter from. If you want it I'll PM the number over to you.
  19. I bought a TRD front lip from lexus Tunbridge Wells for £149, how much was you looking to spend on one? I've never trusted fibre glass kits since I had one on my old MG ZR few years back, I got close to a kerb edge and it shattered the fibre glass. Back in November I got a full genuine Lexus body kit fitted to my Lex, TRD front lip (£149), TRD skirts (£200) and I opted for the TTE rear lip (£145 for new bumper and included lip). They are out there, just got to hunt for them. Keep your eyes peeled on ebay, they come up every now and then.
  20. Just another thought, if I bite the bullet and end up getting a new cat, whats to say that the pre-cats aren't breaking up and if I fit a new cat, this could then get blocked by the pre-cats breaking up.
  21. Thank you for getting back to me, my car has been into a friends garage before (last month) and their response was to first of all replace the pre cat sensor, which I did and didnt resolve the problem. They checked for leaks and couldn't detect any leaks. I seem to be going round in circles, friends who I have asked haven't really been bothered to help and point me in any direction. I have asked to get my car in for a emissions test but wasn't getting anywhere, they didnt do a test when I specifically booked it in to be looked at. Anyone know how much I'm looking at for a new cat? I think I might be better booking the car in at another garage to get it looked at properly.
  22. Hi Guys, Wonder if you could help, I have got the EML now being displayed on the dash. Have code read the fault and it has come back with P0420 'Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold Bank 1'. I know that this code can be triggered by many things such as an air leak in the exhaust, lambda sensors (but usually P01?? code is usually triggered) I have read the freeze frame data but im wondering if there is anyone that could understand the data more than what I can. From what I've read up on, the SHORTFT and LONGFT should be as close to 0 as possible. However from the freeze frame data you can see that the SHORTFT has a positive reading and the LONGFT has a negative reading where its trying to compansate and correct the fuel mixture. What I am wondering is, from this freeze frame data, could someone diagnose where for me to start replacing parts. I'm hoping that this is just a lamda sensor issue, I have already replaced the pre cat lamda sensor on Bank 1 (Denso part no DOX-0236). Without this help, my next step would have been to replace the lamda sensor by the main cat (not sure of the Denso part number for post cat sensor), so that bank 1 has had a replacement sensor before and after the cat, to see if this clears the code. I know that I might need to replace the cat, but at this moment in time I am trying the cheapest option first to resolve the issue. But all of your opinions are welcome. Here's the freeze frame data: Other data from code reader: I hope someone on this site can point me in the right direction. Many thanks, Dean
  23. Had my car about 11 months and done 14,000 miles. Shes now sitting just under 74,000 miles. Over due for an oil change so I better get it done soon.
  24. Yeah i noticed this too, when they go to find out who built the F1 type cars the dash board is on a pallet, you see it as the two girls beat the bloke
