Yeah I need a full new cable. Your replies did inspire me to open up the cable though and try to solder it. I found two broken wires and did a bodge soldering job. Worked! but only on one channel and was really flimsy

Thanks for the picture. But that’s the ‘classic’ that every place I’ve been to offer me. The problem is this alternative in the image has a plastic ‘stud’ in the middle. This renders this as a non option

I installed the GROM in the glove box. The DIN disconnected, the missus tried putting it back in place, snapped two of the pins off!! ive been round so many audio stores and websites… it’s like trying to find the holy grail. Everyone advises buying a mini din but they’re not 100% the same. The grom connection contains a plastic stud

Ive had a GROM USB 2 installed for years with an iphone cable . Been perfect. But I need a replacement GROM cable and they said they no loinger supply them. The cable is very specific and ive tried for months to get one. But not possible therefore the GROM is now obsolete. anyone know where to get a new cable?

Ok. Here’s how the cat theft in France ‘panned out’… i took our rx400h to my trusted mechanic. He proposed a solution to put in place my eBay replacement cat (280€) using two ‘collars’ to bridge the 37cm chop. The new cat is 33cm. my mechanic is also an mot centre so his proposals are legal / road worthy. whilst quoting to put in place my new cat he explained that in france a new cat is not in fact necessary. Emissions are not tested on unleaded / hybrids. He said to simply put a pipe over the gap where the cat was. 65€ for a mètre of 58mm internal bore pipe + installation I am super happy .

Currently residing in France. Had our CAT nicked today. We have a stainnless steel exhaust on our RX 400h and the buggers chopped out the cat at 37cm. I found on ebay this ebay link Anyone bought one of these? Know if it will work? A local garage agreed to fit this for me. Dimensions are a little small compared to the cut the vandals / thieves made but the garage seemed confident to do the job.

I KNOW !!! :D The key cutting from a photo blew my mind too, and as you say...all for a tenner. Glad you got sorted.

Wombat59. See the messages above. In summary katabrontes was spot on! ww.keytrader.co.uk were brilliant. I sent them a photo of my existing key. For less than 10 quid they supplied a new fob and cut key. I swapped the innerworkings and off i went. Great fast and cheap service from them .
