  1. Hey everyone. So for those that have never been to a jdm north meet before, we are a Japanese car club set up on facebook. You can find us here- https://www.facebook.com/groups/jdmnorth/ We run meets all over the North of the UK and the last one took place at Trafford park in Manchester, there's some video coverage here if you want to check it out and also coverage from some of the previous meets if you check the channel- We usually get around 300-400 cars at each event, the events are marshaled and we do have some rules. We ask people to please put their litter in the bins, no key banging,stupid driving,burnout,donuts or whatever other Ken block style nonsense you like to think your good at :p This time we have managed to bag Oulton park as the venue and it will be taking place on the 30th November, for a change we have decided to do a day time meet which will start at 11am. There is a track day on the same day so there won't be any track time but feel free to book yourself on the track day if you want to http://www.ttevents.co.uk/strongnovember-sat-30th-oulton-park-strongbrcar-track-day-1476-p.asp We're working on having some traders there for the day, we've never done this at previous meets so we don't know exactly how many there will be yet. The marshals will also be wondering around with the JDM North stickers which are £2 each and we're working on some hats and t shirts which hopefully will be ready in time. There will be a small entry fee of £2 per person, all the proceeds will go back into the club to organise and book some future events like drag and drift days that we have planned. This event is open to cars and motorbikes so feel free to come on whatever you have got and if your not in a JDM car your still more than welcome but there will be a separate parking area for you. So if you've never been before make sure you come along and if you have been before you probably know its not one to be missed.   2. So guys hope your ready for the second meet of the year back at its original location in Morrisons Preston. The meet will take place at 7.00 pm on the Sunday 11th August. We had a massive success at the last one in Kendal and got over 100 cars to attend this time we want to aim for 200+ so help us out and get sharing. The meet will take place at Morrisons on Mariners way in Preston, for those that came to the last one in Preston its in exactly the same place. The postcode is PR2 2YN. The few rules we have are no messing about in the car park, there was a few idiots last time trying and failing to drift, if this happens this time you will be asked to leave. Morrisons have been kind enough to give us permission to use the car park so don't wreck it for everybody else by driving like a ***** and getting us thrown off. We have full permission to be there so you don't need to worry about being moved on as long as you stick to the above rules. If you could put your litter in the bin as well that would be much as the JDM North team have to stay behind and pick it all up so it just makes our job a bit easier. Heavyset are sponsoring it and will be doing a full video of the event, they will also be selling the new JDM north stickers. Lets make this the best meet so far.   4. The meets still on for tomorrow,starts at 8pm. We're at well over 300 confirmed now and its looking like its gonna be a good one. I'll hopefully see some of you tomorrow
  5. Coming up to 60 confirmed on the facebook event page plus the people confirmed on the forums. Also some members have put together some convoys, anybody is welcome to join them so if you fancy it the destails are as follows. convoy details for anybody coming from manchester/Bolton way. From horwich middlebrook tesco, meet at 6pm leaving 6.15pm to get to lancaster services for 7pm leaving there 7.15pm to get to Kendal.. All times may have a little leeway time depending on confirmed attendees etc.. Convoy details for Carlisle and Penrith members Carlisle meeting point - Tesco on Junction 43. Meet at 645 to leave at 7. Convoy lead by Leo Bevis Moffatt in bright green MR2 turbo Penrith/Appleby area can meet me and the GT4OC at junction 38 services at 730 to join the Carlisle convoy at around 740. We'll then head down to junction 36 and through Kendal to stay in convoy. Because if we went down the A6 no doubt some would tear off and leave others behind! (Naming no names) :p

Its been quite a while since our last meet but despite the freezing cold weather we had a very good turnout and i thought since the weather is slowly starting to get better i better get another meet organised so here it is. It will be in Kendal, Cumbria and will take place in Morrisons car park at 8pm on the 5th May. The postcode is LA9 6DU. Same deal as usual no handbrake turns,dohnuts and burnouts etc and it is a JDM meet so please bare that in mind. If you do turn up in a none jap car please park it out of the way and walk over. The last meet had a good selection of cars but we would like to see a bit more of a mix this time, your welcome in anything aslong as its Jap whether it be a micra or an NSX we don't judge, its a friendly enviroment and its all about having a good time. Also please spread the word as it helps these meets be such a great success. Not long ago i set up a page on facebook called Northern Hondas in an attempt to try and get a bit more of a scene going around the north and it worked a whole lot better than i expected, since then we have had 2 very successfull meets. So since then i have also set up another group called JDM north which can be found here http://www.facebook.com/groups/348237551937426/ The idea behind this was to do a similar thing to the Northern Hondas group and to arrange some regular meets for all Japanese cars as i've never really met anybody that has a Japanese car and doesn't have a lot of respect for most other Japenese car manufacturers. I myself have had Hondas,Nissans and a Subaru. Anyhow we are holding our first meet in Preston on Saturday the 3rd November at 7pm at DFS on Mariners way, the postcode is PR2 2YN for those interested. There will be numerous proffesional Photographers attending so you are almost guaranteed to get some decent pics of your cars and Heavyset will also be there shooting a video and taking pictures for their website and facebook page.
