  1. Hi everyone, I've recently been having intermittent power loss problems with my is 220d. So I took it into Lexus Nottingham on Monday and they had it for nearly a full day and surprise surprise they found nothing as it managed to fix itself. I then drove it down to my barracks near Salisbury and it ran sweet as a nut, but then every short journey I did during the week it started with all the problems again. So I managed to get it into Lexus Swindon while it was running like crap and as soon as I got into the dealers car park it bloody fixed its self again, it's like it know it's going home. So they had it a full day and found nothing as no fault codes come up again and nothing in its history. So drove back to Nottingham and finally managed to get it into the dealer yesterday while it was running like a tractor and they told me one of my injectors have gone and it's likely to be a £600 bill! But the problem is the it's 56 plate that was registered in September so it's just over seven years and I don't even know if the injectors are covered by the 7 year extended engine warranty in the first place? Any help or advice is much appreciated as I've had a trawl through the forum and most of the stuff on here is 5th injector and head gasket related, or I might have missed what I'm looking for!
  2. Cheers normski and Colin, any help is much appreciated! Ill gimme them a call Colin and let you know how I get on.
  3. Hi all, I recently had my is 220's A/C re-gassed but still no cold air, so I took it into lexus and my worst fear came true. The compressor has gone and lexus want £1200 to replace, so my first question is can it be reconditioned or does it need replacing and my second question is does anyone know where I can get it reconditioned or even a second hand one or a cheaper replacement? Any help will be much appreciated!
  4. I use the Mont Blanc barracuda on mine and it fits my aero bars great, but I got this one over the Thule as it feels so much more steady and has has never let me down yet! Hope this helps
  5. Hi IS250 LAD, I'm looking at putting 19's on my IS 220 and was looking at fitting the same width tyres but was wondering what width are your wheels and what offset? I have also got some H&R lowering springs which will lower it 35mm, but it has been suggested that i need to fit SPC camber adjusters front and rear. Have you done this or found any problems?Any info will much appreciated!
  6. Hi ive just got some lowering springs for mi IS 220 and was wondering if you had to fit SPC ball joint's to the front to get the camber adjusted as when i rang WIM this week they said they couldn't the camber on my car! Any suggestions will be massively appreciated

  8. Hi everyone, I know this subject has come up before but all i have found after hours of searching various sites and forums, is yes and no answers to the question "Do i have to get my camber adjusted if i lower my IS 220D?". Some people say yes if more than 35mm and some say no! Firstly which lowering springs do people prefer, Eibach Pro or H&R? And secondly if lowering does affect the tyre wear i.e. inner tyre, can any MOT/tyre centre do it and does anyone have the right settings for camber after lowering? I also read that apperently you have to buy some new adjustable joints at a great cost, any light would be grately appreciated on these topics!
  9. could you possibly put a link on here to your thread as struggling to find it and it would be much appreciated
  10. Hi i'm quite new on hear and really want hids fitting to my car but has anyone has them fitted to an 220d se, i tried to get them fitted recently at a car enhancement garage that supply and fit hids but they said that there was'nt any kits for my model. So if anyones had some fitted can they let me know where they got them from, as i want a quality kit that lasts so dont mind paying extra. i was also looking to get someone to fit them as i am a DIY mong and have ocd and no patience, so could anyone reccommend where to get them fitted in the midlands! all help on this will be much appreciated! I managed to find a kit from hids4u called the ultimate but is comes without a hid decoder and just a ballast, will this bring up any faults and has anyone brought a kit from them?

  12. Hi i brought some from a company in america called Precision LED and theyve even got a step by step youtube video to show you the easiest way to change the bulbes over, they're bulbs are top notch and they even supply you with a free fitting tool. I purchased the interior kit which does both centre domes and the vanity light but i also brought ones for the puddle lights, courtesy door lights and boot. it cost me £70 in total inc postage. just follow the link below: http://www.precisionled.com/lexus-is-led-interior-lights-kits-2006-present.html
