  1. thing is im not renewing just adding the new vehicle to the policy in place of the old one. once its over il do the compare websites and get the best deal. il ring up tomorrow, whinge a bit see if they can drop it at all then just pay what i have to. cant be driving with no insurance.
  2. thing is if i cancel it i wouldnt get the no claims (Ive only got 2 at the moment), so dont really fancy cancelling. think im going to have to ring again and try and get them down. at worst id think it would £50 maybe £60.
  3. has my current insurance company got me by the balls? i rang them up to say 'hopefully' i will be picking up the Lexus on Friday, how much would it be to move my policy over to this vehicle. bare in mind i have done some insurance quotes and the cheapest for the year i got was around £530. and my current policy ends in 29 days and i paid about £500 upfront in January for that. so in my eyes i have already contributed say £40+ for the month. the lady put in the details and came back to me with £118! i was gobsmacked. explaining the above and she took off the admin charge but it still was £93. I rang again today and it is £85.99, think the reduction was because the 1st time i rang the lady did it from yesterday and not Friday. But anyhow do i have an option? those short term insurance deals quoted me over £200. :(
  4. blue is200 sport. the one i posted from ebay. i am rather excited to get it and give back the diesel vectra i'd borrowed.

  6. the gumtree one i posted earlier, im going to view on saturday with a view to buy for a decent price. he says hes get service history for it also.
  7. i appreciate the posts guys. I am still hunting high and low but nothing as yet which meets the advised criteria. i will keep you updated.
  8. http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/lexus-is200-sport/1004310044#gallery-item-full-1 ive asked the guy about tax, interior and whether those wheels are grey or dirty.
  9. hi, yeah i have asked about interior better images etc. i think i am just drawn to this one as it suits the colour i was after. hmm never thought how convenient losing a MOT certificate is if it has a 10 metre long list of advisories. back to the search.
  10. hello there, thought id join the site in hope of some advice on a buying an IS200. I have a budget of around £1000. im looking at this one at the moment http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/251192721941?_trksid=p5197.c0.m619 what do people think of that? I am keen for the Sport version mind but, since there is no bhp difference and i dont think the slip differential thing will matter to me much, then il be happy with a SE or S like the one above. i prefer the grey type over the other colours.
