  1. I do 60% city 30% motorway and 10% country on my daily commute my avg mpg before the engine went in was 32. I've done 7000 miles with my new engine in.. my avg Mpg now is 38.
  2. Looks good, personally i prefer the 'horrible' wood effect i think but nice work all the same :)
  3. Didn't replace mine when the new engine went in, although there's only 1 x loose and 1 x missing.
  4. I got 32-37 before the new engine went in (which i was less than impressed with as my journey to work is 60% motorway, done 30 miles on the new engine this morning and the avg is 27 at the mo, time will tell I’m sure. Would you go gentle on the engine to start with? Dealer told me it doesn’t make a difference but I’m sure you're supposed to keep the Revs low for the first 1000 miles?
  5. Got my car back this morning 13 days later, will miss the 47mpg i was getting and the Marc Levinson stereo in the CT but it's nice to have my IS back. :)
  6. I dont think you should have to pay for the rad its damaged because of the Gaskett going therefore its covered by the Engine 110k 7 year warranty or whatever it is..IMO
  7. Yes i have the extended warranty, they tried to charge me for the rad at first (£300), found out from a member on here that Rads can be damaged when the headgasket goes so i told Lexus to go speak to the warranty company, which they did and hey presto its covered. I think the dealer try to get the customer to pay for work at first as its easier than trying to get the warranty company to pay out, but i could be wrong. see my thread here http://www.lexusownersclub.co.uk/forum/index.php?showtopic=80791 Steve2006 explained it to me. Good luck pal.
  8. mines been in 10 days so far, new engine, clutch and rad all covered by the warranty, hoping to have it back for the weekend. 5 days might be ambitious maybe.
  9. No its a hard ride plus the revs are horrible when you put your foot down although this is only the second auto i've drove the other being a VW Touareg with a much bigger engine. I'm also not paying and i had the same head gasket issue as you, they should waive the fee.
  10. Yeah i currently have a loan Ct200h, i liked it at first but im bored of it now.
  11. Just had a good phone call, they have agreed to put in a new radiator and clutch under the warranty, just watiing to see if they can get the anti roll bushes in under the warranty as well now which they think they will. New engine New clutch New Radiator It will be like a brand new car
  12. Yeah its a brand new engine going in so yeah you're right not much of an offer! I feel a little more confident now to negotiate with them so thanks Steve and Normski.
  13. So im starting to see and that’s fine by me if its at their expense. The anti roll bar bushes as far as i could gather, i was at work when they called and it was difficult to hear the guy.
  14. They actually offered to fit the radiator FOC, im not sure if the cost of the bushes was with labour or not. i'm still waiting on them coming back to me after they have spoke with the warranty company. The trim below the glovebox had fallen down also (broken clip maybe), my friend's size 13's have no doubt done this damage, Lexus say £120 to fix this i say £5 for some double sided sticky tape! I'm starting to think buying a Lexus was a bad idea :(
