I'd moved back from the USA, zero no claims......so I had a Mokka for a year to get my NCD on the board, then a Jag XE which I loved, but after 2 blown turbos I've come home. 😛
Technically not a new member, but had 3 years without a Lexus so I guess I regrew my virginity. Just picked up a 68 plate Is300h, just drove 300 miles in it. I'm so happy to be back!
Oh yeah, I've driven in snow.................normal road tyres, as long as you don't drive like a ***** its fine, Its usually all the other people around who drive way too quick
Normal answer do everything slowly, no sharp turning, braking etc
To be fair if you leave it off you just more of the 'Lexus' experience which is smooth and quiet, gentle upshifts and downshifts
The car is never going to be a snarling beastie, but leaving the switch on can surprise the Beemers and Audi drivers who 'own' the roads and sit on your backside (or in your boot!) demanding they get past lol
Mine is on permanently, I like the sharper and higher revving gear changes, car is more responsive
MPG is not affected, unless your boot is heavier lol
Well as the saying goes f**k them!
Must admit when i go on the compare sites its always funny to see the quotes range from 300ish up to 2000 for them same details
Good luck, I'm an insurance slut, the renewal quote is usually a joke so I just go somewhere else
I just know the newer licences nowadays are very basic, whereas us old farts automatically have minibus and trucks etc, the new passed don't
I only know this because my wife being American had to take her test here, and had very little on her licence that i have
Just thought if maybe your were getting a quote on a minibus etc your licence would not be valid, but you must be an oldish fart lol
Had a load of cars, but first was Mk3 Cortina 1600GXL with wood everywhere
Cost me £200 and £250 to insure!
Loved it, got nicked 3 times, you could start the thing with anything resembling a key
Worst car was an Allegro, what a heap of junk good old BL!
