  1. hi all,one very easy check to see if your ls400 has dhp,the front grill is colour coded
  2. hi nigel,i started this thread well over two years ago,in my case i decided to live with the mirror issue as it was a quick press of the fold mirror's button, well twice to reset job done, welcome to the LOC, jimmy
  3. my ls400 has the DHP which was a £3000.00 upgrade from new,you either love it or hate it each to there own, this is my 3rd ls and definitely the best of the bunch,Tyre size 255\45\17s the gold badges are an upgrade from new and in my case stand out well against the maroon colored bodywork jimmy
  4. cheers for all the info mike, already got a few people in mind if i go for lpg, tubbs in ludlow or profess gas, jimmy
  5. mike,if you think about it running on petrol preduces carbon which protects the valves to a certain extent, lpg is hotter and remove carbon from your engine(valves)over time, hence the damage to some engines over a very long period,i've had two ls400's converted to lpg in the past and both required certificates for insurances purpose's, and a new certifacate had to be issued after so many years, but your right sbout about the ls400,it has hardend valves and dosnt require flashlube,i've been humming and harring about having my lexus gassed, think i might bite the bullet and go for it
  6. i think youll find not all cars have hardend valves, i bought a honda accord three years ago with the intention of gassing it,only to be informed that the valves are soft and even with the flashlube they would eventuly be damaged,as for the lpg tank,i think they have to be checked after so many years along with the rest of the system and a new certifacate issued
  7. hi, can any one advise is it worth getting the door actuator done and can any one recomend a decent machcanic in the midlands area, also could it be the door ecu at fault and not the actuator, all doors are trying to lock twice apart from the drivers door on the fob,not sure whats going on,cheers jimmy
  8. i have the dhp upgrade on my ls400 and i was never aware of any brake upgrade, can anyone confirm this to be fact,i have had all pads changed, standard parts, jimmy
  9. thankyou stev and hugh for youe replies, after looking back at old posts think it is the actuator thats failed, not sure weather to live with it or look into getting it fixed, its not a job i can do myself,no idea how much were looking at cost wise, regards, jimmy
  10. hi to all, hope someone can point me in the righ direction,my lexus ls400 drivers door will not lock or open with the remote and on operating the remote i can here the back passinger door on the drivers side trying to lock twice, hope that make since, thanks in advance for any advise or help on the subject, jimmy
