  1. Happy Birthday Rileys1!

  2. Thanks guys! I don't feel there was any genuine attempt to keep me in the fold, they did mention a few options but none of them came to anything. I was/am genuinely gutted to be leaving the brand after having a 220d, 250 and then the 300h. I think Lexus accepted that they couldn't offer me another because they couldn't guarantee it wouldn't have the same faults and they have no idea when the situation would be resolved. That said Lexus Bolton were great and we left things on good terms. The problems were really infuriating me and it was highlighted when I borrowed my sisters Renault Captur and her entertainment system worked fine on a car that was a fraction of the cost.
  3. I wish you all much luck in resolving these issues! After the latest update to mine started to delete my phone contacts I decided enough is enough. I tried a number of routes to resolve the situation but after speaking to my finance company we finally agreed on a partial rejection of the car. I have now returned it and am the happy owner of an Audi A5 which all works perfectly. Good luck to you all !!
  4. An update on mine: The system is now showing all the faults it has since the beginning and none of the software updates have made any difference. I know individually they seem like minor things but you just don't know what the system is going to be like on a day to day basis and it drives me mad when it plays up. I have been keeping in contact with customer relations and we have arranged for the technical team to come and have a look at my car at the end of next week for a couple of days. I'll let you all know how I get on.
  5. An update on this (apologies if I'm going on): Two days of investigations at the dealership in December didn't get us anywhere. The dealer liaised with Lexus technical team and they asked numerous questions about phone versions and iPod software but didn't come up with anything. I went away in the car the week after and the sat nav proved near useless. When coming home we had been driving for almost 30 minutes following the sat nav when we arrived back where we had started! The audio also repeatedly turned off which proved annoying. Since coming home the screen turns off approximately every two days, reversing camera sometimes refuses to come on and I have had instances where the camera switches on randomly when I'm driving along amongst other issues. Another phone call to Lexus and they have advised to book the car in the dealer AGAIN for yet more investigations. Here we go again.... I wondered if anyone else is having so many problems ?
  6. I spoke with Lexus Bolton yesterday as my sat nav now sends you the longest way possible to your destination and just stops the route without you realising. They told me it was not worth them having a look without any steer from Lexus and to give Lexus HQ a call to add weight to the argument for a new fix. I spoke with Lexus who said they were not aware customers are having issues after having the upgrade and that this should have fixed all my issues. They advised that the car needs to be booked into the dealer as the unit must be faulty. I explained others were still having problems but they disagreed. Therefore the car is going in for investigations tomorrow. I'll keep you updated.
  7. That's great news - thanks for the update. An update on mine: After the update Saturday morning the favourites in my contacts dropped after my first trip. I programmed them back in on Saturday and thought I'd cracked it but today they have disappeared again. Yesterday the system started going slow when running the iPod and again keeps saying 'getting data from iPod' each time I tried to change track. On the plus side the voice command is now working everytime where it had previously packed up altogether and the system in general seems much faster.
  8. I've had my update done this morning at Lexus Bolton. First impressions are that it is faster when changing tracks with the iPod but it has already forgotten the favourite contacts I programmed in when I got the car out of the garage. The voice activation does seem to have come back but it was intermittent before so time will tell. I'll see how I go and keep you updated.
  9. Hi Geoffers, I was in Lexus Bolton last weekend and they couldn't give me any update. I had contacted lexus separately though and received a response via email on Monday. The below is the exact response: 'Thank you for providing us with the additional information we requested. I have looked into your concern and have been advised that Toyota Motor Europe are currently testing a proposed fix and are hopeful to have this released to the Lexus Network for implementation within the next 2-3 weeks. In closing, I would like to thank you for your patience in this matter and please accept my apologies for any inconvenience and frustration cased to you.' I hope this helps.
  10. Yeah I think I too am going to contact Lexus. I've been dealing with my local centre but the service from them this time round hasn't been great and not what I expect from them. It's a shame as with previous cars they have been fantastic. I wouldn't mind waiting as much if I was kept up to date but I'm not and I'm not waiting indefinitely on a product which I had to pay for as an extra and didn't even come as standard.
  11. Thanks for the update alpine. I tend to agree, the system is a mess and the list of faults with mine grows by the day. Rayaan thanks for your input and interesting take that you think we should expect to have audio systems which in my case is becoming totally unusable and not discuss these issues. If us early adopters do not raise these issues they will not be rectified for later versions.
  12. Did you take your car for investigation alpine?
  13. Let us know how you get on alpine. I agree David it is really frustrating. At first it was just a minor annoyance but the worse things are getting it's driving me to distraction. I've given up using the Bluetooth to play music it drops and reconnects so often and if I receive a call the call quality for the other person is terrible. It's a shame when the system in my 2012 IS 250 was so good and never failed me. I think I'm going to have to phone Lexus Bolton again to see if they have any updates.
  14. Has anyone heard any updates on the software update to fix the problems with the audio/navigation? The faults on mine are getting worse and it's driving me mad. The system now reboots every couple of days leaving a black screen for a couple of mins and and every time I want to skip a track it says transferring audio from iPod and does this a couple of times before skipping track. The latest problem is that the audio starts to go crackly and distorted and I have to change to another mode. These are just a few of the problems. The car was in Lexus Bolton two weeks ago and they said that they are waiting for a software update and that there is no timescale for this and I haven't heard anything from them since. I thought it would be quite soon though with other owners having similar faults. I do love the car but this problem is now starting to drive me mad!
  15. Great choice - I agree the white really is stunning and draws attention wherever you go !
