  1. Once the turbo kicks in around 2800rpm it feels fine. but when I was on the motorway, unless I was accelerating, therefore spooling the turbo, it felt juddery and lie it could cut out. Ive not tried it to the redline to be honest mate, There is not any smoke, since the DPF was unblocked. He used a chemical to remove all of the soot etc. I cant see any coolant problems, or hear any strange noises. Its just very odd that its happened since the DPF blocked. Like its backed up somewhere else.
  2. Cleaned the EGR and it's still the same. Took it on the motorway on case it just needed a little blast to clear things out..... But didn't have the guts thanks to previous experience!! Any other ideas anyone?
  3. Hi guys, I've taken off my EGR valve to clean as usual, but was wondering if I should get an Alan key to split the "module" in half to clean inside? Please reply quickly, so I can reassemble it all before it's dark. Cheers scott
  4. thanks for the reply mate, yeah, I clean it regularly, so last time was about 4 months ago, but it the DPF got completely blocked as it did, it probably backed up? The only fault code that was showing was the DPF blockage. Any other ideas if it doesn't work?
  5. Hi guys, I had the dreaded DPF blockage, but since it was unblocked, the power at low revs is awful, its almost like trying to pull away in a higher gear than I should. I am going to clean the EGR tomorrow, as that's the first port of call I suppose. Anyone else got any ideas on what could be the problem? It was fine before the car went into limp mode, so I am assuming that it is something related to the blockage? Could the soot have backed up at all or something? thanks in advance Scott
  6. Hi guys, just got the BG244 and AR6200. Obviously I just chuck the BG244 into the tank before filling, but is it better on half a tank or a full tank? What's the easiest way to use the AR6200, without having to get the calculator out each time I put fuel in? Thanks in advance Scott.
  7. No, air con ain't on, nor are the seats. Bought some wynns dpf cleaner, gonna give that a go, then, some bg244 in a couple of weeks. I noticed yesterday, that the oil was just below the minimum, I topped it up, and I noticed a cloud of white smoke about 4 miles later. Is it common to have to top the oil up? Can't see any signs of leakage. Thanks guys.
  8. Hi guys, since cleaning egf, idle is still the same. Once the engine is hot, idle goes to normal but this seems to take about 10-15 minutes. Then if I stop the engine for 5 mins, its back to 1200rpm again, even with the engine still warm from the previous journey. Reckon in going to out some of that cleaner in the tank, think it will help?
  9. 1 of my bulbs has been out for a couple of weeks, well, it comes on and then goes out after a few minutes. Now the other side has done the same, this seems very weird that both would go like this. I am not quiet sure how these bulbs differ from normal bulbs in their characteristics but could this be coincidence whereas I just buy two new bulbs which will cost me an arm and a leg, or could it be down to something else? Normally I would just go and buy the bulbs and find out, but at £60 per bulb, I can't afford to take a gamble, if it's something else, ie, fuse, low battery power etc... Please advise.. Thanks Scott
  10. Hi Steve, I shouldn't have to leave the ac on permanently though should I?
  11. The front windscreen is constantly steaming up, the airflow is not on recirculate etc, so could this be due to the cabin filter needs changing or something else?
  12. Ok, cleaned the egr. That lower bolt at the back needs to look at itself! Haha I can't believe how clogged everything was. There must have been an opening the size of a pea!. Started the engine afterwards and it sounded awful but I assume that's because of the crud that falls into the engine? Seems ok now. The idle still seems the same as before to be honest, but I will take it on the motorway soon to give it a blast.
  13. I reckon my low beam bulb has gone, it comes on and then after a few mins goes out... Just phoned the local spares shop, and got told they are £60 each... Nearly had a flipping heart attack. Is there anywhere cheaper?... Much cheaper? Thanks Scott
  14. also, do you need out change the gaskets on the egr valve each time or should they be ok?
