  1. Oil in the intake is not good. It will reduce performance, and untreated over a longer period of time could result in costly engine work. If it works it’s way through the combustion process, it’s going to trigger the ECU and take out power. There’s plenty of info on the US forum, and on the RR-Racing page for their AOS.
  2. Hey Nick, If it’s modifications you are looking for, I’m happy to help. 😎👍 Pretty sure mine is the most modified IS F in Europe (for now anyway), so have either had or know about pretty much all areas you can change/improve. I’d highly recommend RR-Racing in Pennsylvania (not for the supercharger kit before Ratty starts! Lol). Depending on you’re plans, I’d be looking at their USRS for handling, along with their Air/Oil Separator (AOS) unit for cleaner running. Everyone who has fitted this has discovered the same traces of oil in their intake pipe, so it actually does serve a valid purpose. Carbon goodies are easily added, but can be pricey as with most cars. Hayward & Scott (H&S) do a couple of nice exhaust options, but again they aren’t cheap. You do however get a lifetime warranty for the duration of your ownership, but may not work given you’re habits in the past! Lol. 😉😂😂 What I would say is I was just like you with chopping and changing cars all the time before I settled on my IS F. Despite a few wobbles, this will be my 4th or 5th year with it, so maybe you’ll settle down with yours. That detailing work is spot on by the way. 👍😎 For intakes, don’t go with any induction kits unless they are part of the kits from RR-Racing. I’ve tried most of them, and suggest a better intake elbow with an updated panel filter from say TOM’s. Add the AOS to remove the hoses from the intake and you’ll be good to go. PM me with any questions, happy to help. 👍😊 All the best, Pete
  3. Not bad..... He needed a supercharger and a better exhaust though! 😉😂😂.
  4. I’m going to send Alex an email, but have to echo everyone else about the care, genuine interest and warm welcome we got. The supercharger also attracted the interest of the technicians who were giving it a good look over! Shame Derby is so far afield for me, otherwise I’d 100% go back. 👍😎
  5. Unbelievable, I was born in Greece! Just outside Athens in fact. Had duel nationality up to 18, but didn’t fancy the national service, musket, dress etc! Lol. 😉😂😂
  6. Realised that when we got to the hotel! Lol. PM me your address and I’ll post it to you mate. 👍
  7. Think it was actually Amazon..... 2IS bumper LED reflectors smoked was my search. 👍😎
  8. So managed to get the new smoked LED bumper reflector replacements installed and wired up for the Dales meet. Huge thanks to my nephew Ben for all his help late on Thursday night when we did the work together. Think these just finish off the rear end beautifully. Hope you like it guys. 👍
  9. No worries mate, hope he’s ok..... 😔 As others have said, shame we had some issues early on trying to keep the group together, but it wasn’t a total flop! 😂 Great to put some faces to names, and with no Dan and his walkie-talkies, we did struggle. I’d say you need groups of 5, and a group leader who can make sure his group stay together. We regrouped as a 5 or 6 after leaving Derby, and stayed together the whole time to Ladybower Inn. Opera house was a flop as the first group that got there found it was rammed solid with no parking etc. Weather was truly amazing for this time of year. Had some breathtaking views, and we enjoyed a quiet dinner at the Thyme bar and grill here at Premier Inn. Huge thanks to Dan for his help organising what I hope will be the first of many fun road trips with my Lexus family. 👍😎 Cheers all, Pete 😊
  10. So didn’t get many photos as I was driving, and avoiding the sheep! Lol. Did grab one of the fabulous view from the Ladybower Inn though. 😎
  11. Mine with the new smoked bumper LED reflectors to match. 👍😎
  12. And in the interim, I’ll bring the spare carbon RR-Racing intake along for you to use tomorrow matey. 👍😎
  13. Just to let everyone know I took the liberty of printing off ten copies of the detailed instructions Dan was kind enough to put together for us. Will bring them tomorrow to hand out. Just wanted to share now so others don’t waste their time/ink doing the same thing! 😉😂😂 See you Guys tomorrow. Cheers, Pete 😎
  14. That's amazing news Dan! Huge congrats to you and the missus and your tiny son. Sorry to lose you after all the graft and hard work you put in making all of this happen, but obviously understand why you need to bail out. If no one else wants to assume lead car role, I am happy to do it mate. Just send me what I need and we can take it from there. Again, well done and wishing you and yours well with the new addition fella. Cheers! Pete
  15. Hi Rich, I would be interested in getting some custom radiator hoses if that's something Roose would be willing to look at? If they can do a bung in the hose for my water temperature sensor probe as well, that would be brilliant! Had to cut mine to fit a sensor in the middle and it's pretty rough/ugly to look at (does the job though I guess). I think I have a carbon intake hose lying around if that's any use to you? Sold my OEM one to someone from the forum (I'll ask him this weekend if he has a spare to send you if that's what you are looking for?). Good luck! Cheers, Pete
  16. Just going to leave these here! Little taster before Saturday! Lol. See all you fine people soon. Cheers, Pete 👍😎
  17. Hey, yes, what you guys don’t realise is US fuel is the same as ours, just numbered differently. I think 93 here is 98 in the U.K. (I say here as I am typing in a lounge at Atlanta Airport in Georgia!). Map and running on my car has always been spot on with every level of tune I’ve had with RR-Racing. Cheers, Pete
  18. So a set of 4 will be how much? Sounds like a lot! Think we got a quote for custom CCW wheels from the States for just over £3K, so these are lumpy. Appreciate they will be custom spec’d, but same for most manufacturers/suppliers. Thanks for asking though Paul, not trying to shoot the messenger! Lol.
  19. Lol, why stop there? Thinking plinth and sealed bubble...... 🤔😜😂😂
  20. Lol, that’s what cleaning and detailing are for! 😉😂😂
  21. Think I gained more in the top end, but car just feels more happy in any gear at any speed if that makes sense.... Got a set of PPE performance cats welded in to keep MOT happy etc. 😎👍
  22. Lol, I’m happy to spec it with your money, and Lee P at SRD is more than capable of working the spanner’s etc...... 😉😂😂
  23. Add a supercharger kit?? Now you have something different and more powerful than any M4! Lol.
  24. Hi Guys, No, RCF and ISF headers are different designs. As mentioned, it’s all about the layout/routing, so you would need different designs for each car. As a proud owner of the unequal length PPE headers, have to say these make a big difference. Car will thank you for changing out the frankly rubbish OEM design. Really restrictive and I struggle to see how Lexus allowed them to be on the car to be honest! Good luck with this, hopefully you can get a few folks signed up. Cheers, Pete
  25. Worth asking if you don’t mind please mate? Have a feeling they won’t sadly! 😔
