Every morning when the outside temperature is below 2 degrees I'm losing power, and the motor is hunting like crazy. Have checked the air filter, this is as new condition. There's also an oily smelling smoke evident sometimes when idling. Any thoughts guys

I own a Lexus IS 220d on a 59 plate. I find it hard to understand why, all the time it revs up to 1200 when warming up. Whilst I know why it dose it (temp gauge has to reach central position) I'd like to know if there is a way to stop this happening as its a total waste of fuel. Especially as it takes so long to warm up on cold mornings. Plus this is the first car I've owned that did this.

I'd love to know how to bring it back to its original lustre. All passenger seats are great but driver side just needs a lift as is always the case with ex rep cars. Thanks all.

Hi, I've got a 59 IS 220d. The fuel consumption seems to be getting gradually worse by the month. I'm only getting 27 to the gallon, when 4 month's ago I was getting around 33/35. I'm thinking of buying some redex or wynns treatment and wondered if this might help, or dose anyone have a better solution. Thanks all.

Hi all, just found out the windscreen wiper heaters on my 2009 IS 220D don't work. Whats wrong and is there anything I can do to get them going again. Cheers.

Hi all again, and sorry for being a nuisance. However, I've just gotta know why is the motor running at 1200 revs when idling. No AC on only the interior heater fan. Don't get it never owned a car where this would happen. What am I doing wrong. Thanks all.

Hi I've heard redex diesel can really help with MPG. Would you recommend I try this or is there a better additive. ? Thanks Chelsea bab

Hi this is my first post as I've just became the proud owner of a 2009/2010 IS 220d. I would like to know is there a way of heating the cabin without using the air con as this uses a lot more fuel. Thanks
