  1. Looks like they put a more powerful one in for you. I guess as long as it fits in the space and has the same power as before, or more, then that’s fine. Thank you.
  2. This makes total sense. Thank you. I feel more comfortable now that I can just use an off the shelf battery. I’ll have a search for that Bosch one and see how much it is. Thank you.
  3. Good point!!! I don’t believe it does say that. Are hydrogen 12v batteries even a thing??!!
  4. Looks like the same one that’s in my engine bay!!! Thank you for confirming the part number. I will give Toyota a call and see how much they quote me before I try and match it to a halfords or Bosch one.
  5. Makes sense! Thank you. It’s a very small 12v battery. So, halfords don’t list one and won’t specify one. Their policy is they don’t touch batteries on hybrid vehicles. I dusted off the user manual from the glove box and it says something along the lines of: Only use a hydrogen battery specified for your hybrid vehicle. If you fit a standard battery, you may cause a build up of hydrogen in your vehicle. Is this nonsense? Surely all 12v batteries are the same??? Apart from size and power etc. I’m finding it hard to accept that a hybrid car needs any special kind of 12v battery???
  6. Happy new year to all!!! I need a new battery for the engine bay - mine has had it. I have a trade card at halfords so gonna head there today. Via their website, they do not list the battery for my 2008 RX400H. Has anyone fitted a halfords Battery and if so which number?
  7. Do the plastic screws go in the existing holes in the mount? I need to have a look today. Stucky oads are usually fine, but the mount is only 50% of the size of the plate, so you don’t get maximum fixing. I think that, teamed with the cold weather and frost meant my existing sticky pads failed.
  8. So, how do you all fix your front number plates on? Mine was stuck on using sticky pads, but fell off in the cold weather. Obviously I could just drill holes in the number plate and fit it that way. I was actually thinking of sourcing a number plate surround/bracket which could be fixed to the standard mount, then a number plate slotted in without drilling it. What set up do you have? If you have anything good let me see what you have.
  9. I’m gonna have a play around today. This sounds like the most logical explanation so far!!! Although, it would be in connection with the ICE cooling too. Thanks for everyone’s input so far!!
  10. Nah. No tow bar. I was thinking cooling - but no idea what it would be cooling? Other than my feet???
  11. It’s not a switch to watch DVD. I wish it was!!! 😂 so, it still makes a noise like a tiny hairdryer. Anyine any ideas????
  12. Perfect English. Danke shöne. I will give this a try as I do have the premium nav with DVD.
  13. I guess it could be if it cooled my seat. It doesn't lol. Still haven't figured this out!!!!!!!!
  14. So, it was a leaky water pump leaking into the drive belt. Got the water pump and all labour covered under my warranty and just paid £50 for the drive belt.
