  1. I have this on mine aswell buddy, its only happening on the drivers side of my car. Iv spent ages trying to work/find out what it is and iv noticed for me that its a lower bush (i shall post a eBay link for the part so you can see exactly what im talking about). Its causing some play witch is resulting in a clunking/knocking noise. Mainly happens just before you come to a stop or go over a speed bump ect.. Although this is only my problem it may not be the same for you, just something you may wish to look at.. you can replace the whole part for £114 or just get a replacement bush for £18. heres the part: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LEXUS-IS200-GXE10-IS300-FRONT-LOWER-CONTROL-SUSPENSION-ARM-REAR-BACK-UPPER-BUSH-/171049718400?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item27d35b9280
  2. To start off, just purchased some very nice ROTA Sub-Zero's for my is200. There 18" 7J 5x114.3 and in gum-metal with the chrome lip :) Anyways i'm after some new wheel nuts as standard ones will not fit, looking on the usual sites 'eBay' and it all looks nice and flash but its rather cheep and that 90% are made from alloy, after looking on afew motor forums there apparently bad news! Apparently.. all advise to go for Steel nuts. Looked online for the steel nuts and there all priced up over £120+!!!! not cheep.. Having said that you cant put a price on safety, especially as i have 2 children who occasionally travel in the car. Am i better off getting Steel nuts??? Any insight on the alloy nuts or if anybody has info on comparing the 2 then please share :)
  3. Hey, Names Chris and in from Bristol. Bought myself a lexus is200 last month, its a is200 sport NAV but sadly to fitting an after market head unit my navigation screen no longer works :( opps!! Its black and basicly standard at the moment apart from changing the numberplates to 12x6" just to give it that Jap feeling. Also managed to complete the 'BrakeFog' conversion and is all working sweet! Iv had 3 is200's now, first one was a blue SE, best car iv ever had but sadly sold it due to needing a smaller car.. My second was a silver sport witch i maded in to an Altezza replica! Sprayed it white and had a nice TRD body kit on it but once again sadly sold that as i fell in love with a leon cupra r turbo. This time however i shall be keeping this Lexus as i was foolish to sale the other 2 :) Paintwork is spotless!! Day after i bought her i spent the day clay baring her, polished then waxed, gave the car a mirror finish and looks almost factory fresh! Sits in the garage most the time as i cycle to work (just doing my part to save the enviroment) wink wink* lol so happy to say its a nice little weekend car to appreciate :) i shall try and add some pictures of how she was when bought to how she is now! Thanks for reading and glad to be part of the family :D Chaw!
