  1. @kenhall saw the video below saw I've a good idea how it comes off now. I'll take off off and Kurust and paint it. Thanks 🙂
  2. Hello, I noticed that the metal part that holds the windscreen wiper to my back windscreen is rusting. We live one street away from the Irish Sea so rust is a big issue/problem for us. Was wondering what is the best way to fix this? Is it possible to replace it or if it needs cleaning and repainting is it better to do it in while it's still on the car or to remove it? Are there any Youtube videos that anyone knows of that goes through this? Thanks, Dave J
  3. So my mechanic suggested trying this. Had it in the system for about 2 weeks and nothing improved. Rang him on over the weekend and he said there was some other stuff he used previous that worked. Went round Monday and he removed some of the hydraulic oil and put this Lucas powered steering treatment additive. Must admit as the first on didn't work I was cynical. Spent 5 minutes turning the wheel left to right etc. It's perfect like new 👍
  4. I cleaned it previously but as in my earlier post I managed to do a reset on the sunroof and it is fine now.
  5. Driving home yesterday and tried to close my sunroof. The glass roof came right to the front and as soon as it touched the spring loaded mechanism at the front and it completely opened again. Also: Tried this and and I couldn't get it to reset as it did in the video. When opening the sunroof it seems to not go right back, Clicking the button for a 2nd will move it right back. If I move the sunroof forwards incrementally it will close. The issue is when you hold the button forwards. So this did work for me, only difference is the sunroof needed to be tilted up before holding the tilt button in 👍 20220711_121402.mp4
  6. Hello, Noticed when I started my cat yesterday and slightly turned the steering wheel a strange vibrating and whining noise. Will ring the mechanic on Monday but was curious what it might be? Thanks, Dave.
  7. Update - fastfitz came and fitted the towbar on my driveway this morning. Absolutely brilliant people, polite and professional. Highly recommend them to anyone 🙂
  8. Sorry not to reply sooner, been away at the weekend. Booked my car in on the 25th with this company: https://fastfitz.co.uk/ fitted on my driveway. Flange towbar with 7 pin electrics, £439. There were others including PF jones but didn't get much response back to be honest. Fingers crossed they'll do a good job. Thanks everyone for their help so far, I'll report back later. Cheers, Dave.
  9. I saw this and 3 of the 4 say model exclusions for vehicles with self leveling: https://www.pfjones.co.uk/tow-bars/tow-bars-for-lexus/lexus-rx350-towbars/lexus-rx350-2003-2009-towbars.html I'll ring them again today and see if I can get to the bottom of it.
  10. Well you can set the suspension from the console so could anyone confirm I'm right when I say if it set to let's say the middle setting that the suspension is going to stay in that position? Sorry if this is a numpty question BTW
  11. Just rang the Manchester branch and they say they don't fit tow bars on self leveling cars. Pretty sure my suspension has self leveling, so I'm not sure what to do.
  12. Filled in the enquiry form and their reply was they don't have an engineer in my area.
  13. Hello, I'm looking to get a tow bar and electrics fitted on my 2007 Lexus RX350 so I can tow a trailer. Just wanted to ask if my car can have tow bar fitted and if so what is the best approach? Could fit it myself possibly or pay some one to it. Any advice would be really appreciated. Thanks, Dave.
