  1. Westfield is where I will be going for anything other than servicing for MD stamp. Not had cause to use them yet for my previous ISF or current RCF, but as I plan on keeping the latter I will be probably for brakes at some point. The ISF is a great car, so best of luck with the search.
  2. SRD did RR racing supercharger upgrade to @Peter P18 ISF, so they have a good reputation - his build threads are all on here. Westfield also have a good reputation and @Womble72 has uses them for servicing for years.
  3. Thanks for offering to organise this & would have loved to join, but unfortunately busy that weekend.
  4. The ceramic coat was done by the dealership & I’m not convinced the proper time would have been spent to correct the paint to the level that a detailer such as @BlackbeardRoss would. Good to know it’s relatively straightforward to apply, but would like a detailer’s professional advice on the paint correction side as I’ve had the car for nearly 5 years & intend on keeping it for the long term.
  5. Great video & car looks fantastic - wished I lived close enough to give my RCF the same treatment. I had the Williams ceramic coat when I bought it, but would like to get it re done after a paint correction. Just need to find someone reputable to do it! Out of interest what did u do with the leather seats as I’ve been concerned about treating them for fear of discolouring the white stitching?
  6. I always use the paddles to drop a couple of gears, in whatever drive mode I’m in, to increase my speed for an overtake or going up steep hills etc like I would in a manual car. I haven’t ever relied on the car to kick down as I prefer to be in direct control of the acceleration. Works as well in the Lexus as it did in any of my previous tiptronic autos and it often changes down just as I’m about to on hills far better than any of my previous autos did. Can’t say I have ever noticed any issue with lag TBH other than the throttle retardation in eco.
  7. I’m still running the original set of Michelin PSS’s as my mileage is very low - I’ve only done just over 1k a year since 2018 when I bought the car. Suspect I will need to replace them from an age perspective before they ever get to their tread limit. I had intended to replace them with the Michelin PS4S’s in the near future, but given the mileage I do I will probably go for the Conti sport 7’s from the reviews, as the tread longevity is not going to be an issue to justify the additional cost of the PS4S’s.
  8. My recall letter came through yesterday, but already had it booked in for the work with my service at the end of next month thanks to the heads up from this thread - so many thanks👍🏻
  9. Yes, I switch drive modes throughout a journey to suit the roads & the driving conditions as well👍🏻
  10. Thanks, that would be very much appreciated👍🏻
  11. Looks brilliant! - what coating did you have if you don’t mind me asking?
  12. @Big Rat Hi Paul, very sensible👍🏻 Hope you & yours have a good Xmas too mate. 🎉🎊
  13. @Big Rat Hi Paul, bit of a change mate 😉 but looks like a fun retirement 👍🏻 Hope you both have a great time on your tour and thoroughly enjoy your retirement.
  14. Glad at least the selling side is going well👍🏻
  15. Really sorry to hear that but completely understandable if the stress is ruining the experience for you. Good luck selling the car - I do love the car in that colour. Hopefully things will improve at some point soon 🤞🏻🤞🏻 & given the build quality of these cars, you will be able to return in future 👍🏻
  16. Welcome & a great choice, had my RCF since 2018 & still love it. First car I’ve ever owned I have decided to keep for the long term. They are a great car, but you may want to consider changing the rear exhaust boxes to get the full V8 experience from low revs - all the F’s are a little quiet in standard form until the 2nd inlet opens at around 3500rpm. Didn’t do this with my previous ISF & regretted it so did it straight away with the RCF & have never looked back! Hope you have many miles of enjoyment.
  17. Nice to see these pictures again @Big Rat Paul. Lexus Derby were indeed very accommodating. A great meet with lots of F’s, beautiful scenery and fun roads - of which I saw quite a lot having got lost 🙄🤣 @NothernDan shame you missed it having put in all the hard work, but you did have a good excuse 😉
  18. Apparently seems to make it worse because it’s strapped against the seat in a fixed location. Happy to be wrong but I think there were some posts on it.
  19. When I test drive my 2015 RCF as a straight comparisons to my 2011 ISF I found it more responsive & an improvement - funny how these things go. I suspect, like all F’s, the more time you spend with them the better they get. I wondered whether the drive back in my ISF would change my mind about buying the RCF, but I was surprised to find that it made the ISF feel a little dated in comparison. For me the RCF is a special place to be & I still look forward to driving it even after 4yrs of ownership. I don’t think I have ever owned a car which gets more positive comments. Still we all want different things from our cars so good luck with whatever you decide on. Oh & definitely agree on exhaust as all F’s are too quiet from the factory. I put a QuickSilver exhaust on the RCF not long after I bought it which adds so much character to the car.
  20. I don’t use my belt retainer as have heard that this can cause the seat leather to wear prematurely.
  21. I use the downshift paddle in any mode for overtaking and hold the up shift paddle for a few seconds if I want to return it to auto. I change the drive modes to suit the driving style I want depending on the circumstances & how aggressive I want the car to react.
  22. Glad to hear you are still enjoying your AMG. I remember discussing our thoughts on them in the run up to you purchasing yours & the C63S I drove around that time is still one of the most impressive cars I have driven, so it’s good to hear that you have had no issues to spoil the ownership experience.
  23. I don’t think there is another performance car out there from other marques that I would consider keeping long term other than an F. On my eighth year of F ownership (ISF then RCF) & only ever had servicing costs to deal with, which is a complete contrast to the previous 20 years of owning various German performance cars!!
  24. I always put the car in N at the lights in case someone hits me from behind. Possibility of transmission damage if in D or P I was told.
